A new national law has been introduced to require all Operating Systems to have mandatory Age Verification. House Resolution 8250 : “To require operating system providers to verify the age of any user of an operating system, and for other purposes.” The Federal bill was introduced by Rep. A 25-year old married couple earning $150k will pay over $3k more in federal income tax for 2025 than a 65-year old married couple with the same income (note: assumes no social security - 65-year old couple is waiting to age 70 to get max benefit). This is a fair tax policy?

Alow me to simplify why a national popular vote for the President is a bad idea and why the Electoral College is a feature, not a bug.
The Electoral College actively prevents us from being a true democracy because true democracies are really bad ideas and allow a low information electorate to simple take what it wants from anyone else. Property rights cease to exist in a true democracy. So do civil rights, minority rights, or any other rights that 50.1% of the people who show up to vote don't want you to have anymore.
The country would be run by New York, LA, Chicago, and Dallas. No one's opinions outside of those cities would matter.
By having the electoral system it forces Presidential candidates to cater to all 50 states, not just the most populated cities. This ensures that a farmer's rights in Bismark, North Dakota are as important as a homeless man's in New York City, thus making sure the entire nation is represented by the Executive Branch equally.
Remember in The Hunger Games where the people of the outlying cities existed only to feed and entertain the residents of the central city under threat of death?
That is what not having an electoral college would cause in the United States.
Additionally, removing it would require a Constitutional Amendment. And because it would require a Constitutional Amendment anything that attempts to change the process without an Amendment is an end run around the Constitution and is invalid on its face per Marbury v Madison.

Fairfax was dick ridden by all your organizations, "gun violence prevention champion!" He was the key vote in passing Red Flag laws in VA. Which is lethally ironic now.
"Hurrr women and dangerous partners" then go on to endorse another guy this election who got caught in 4k wanting to shoot people and have their kids killed.
