As the Jewish state, Israel cherishes and upholds the Jewish values of tolerance and mutual respect between Jews and worshippers of all faiths. All religions flourish in our land and we view members of all faiths as equals in building our society and region. Yesterday, like the overwhelming majority of Israelis, I was stunned and saddened to learn that an IDF soldier damaged a Catholic religious icon in southern Lebanon. I condemn the act in the strongest terms. Military authorities are conducting a criminal probe of the matter and will take appropriately harsh disciplinary action against the offender. While Christians are being slaughtered in Syria and Lebanon by Muslims, the Christian population in Israel thrives unlike elsewhere in the Middle East. Israel is the only country in the region that the Christian population and standard of living is growing. Israel is the only place in the Middle East that adheres to freedom of worship for all. We express regret for the incident and for any hurt this has caused to believers in Lebanon and around the world.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE, pt 2—Tucker Carlson claims his "Israelism" is about the Israeli govt, not Jews. Then why did Tucker rage-bait against Jews with an overt, Holocaust-related lie? Tucker claimed that at the Holocaust Remembrance event at the US Capitol, "there was no mention" of the U.S. soldiers who defeated the Nazis and liberated the concentration camps. But not only did the event "mention" these incredible American soldiers, including the 250,000 men who gave all, but the opening remarks STARTED by praising them. There were also numerous other instances honoring the memory of American servicemen. The keynote speech, in fact, was given by the great-grandson of Dwight Eisenhower, who led allied forces as they defeated the Nazis in 1945. All of this can be found in YouTube videos of the event. Just one person from Tucker's sizable staff could have found all of this in under 10 minutes. Here's the beginning of the opening speech, by the Director of the US Holocaust Museum, Sara Bloomfield: "Welcome to the 2026 Days of Remembrance commemoration. Today, as we pay tribute to all the Americans who fought in World War II, I want to single out Roddie Edmonds of Tennessee, a 25-year-old master sergeant in the 106th Infantry Division. He was captured in the Battle of the Bulge and sent to Stalag IX-A." Also, attending the event were surviving U.S. soldiers and family members of WWII servicemen. And Holocaust Museum Chairman Jeff Miller remarked, "This year, as our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding, we remember those who fought to defeat tyranny and the leadership that made victory possible. We remember the soldiers who liberated the camps." But, of course, that didn't stop Tucker from lying. After playing a clip showing a candle lighting by a uniformed member of the Old Guard, Third Infantry Regiment, Tucker snarked, "What are we remembering here? And we do have a sense that it’s we’re not remembering the American soldiers who liberated Dachau, for example. We’re not remembering the quarter million American men" who fought the Nazis. Most importantly, this gives lie to the myth — pushed by Megyn Kelly and others — that Tucker is only criticizing "Israel." Crucially, it exposes the real purpose and motivation for Tucker dedicating a full hour to create a new trope called "Israelism." After all, why else would he make a central component of his rant intentionally lying about a Holocaust event? It was organized by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, and its speakers were Americans. How is that proof of "Israelism"? The answer, of course, is obvious. When Tucker says "Israel," he means "Jews." No matter how much he or Megyn Kelly tries to pretend otherwise.

There will likely be votes to expel two members of Congress next week. I really don’t care what side you are on. If you are stealing FEMA funds, sexually assaulting women, harassing them, etc. you need to get out of the House of Representatives. Maybe leadership on both sides needs to LEAD instead of hiding under rocks and behind vaguely worded statements carefully written to make the American people hate you even more.
