Starfleet Academy star Kerrice Brooks urges fans not to hate the show because of DEI: “If it’s not nice, like, let’s just talk about it. Don’t just say, like, I hate it because it’s DEI. Tell me you hate it because of something else, and then we can have a conversation.” Is DEI a valid reason to hate Starfleet Academy?

@axiochrono @anon_opin Authentic Italian food is high quality ingredients prepared reasonably simply, Italian american food adds extra ingredients to disguise the low quality of the core of the meal.

@anon_opin Would never dare say this in real life but Americanised Italian food is so much better than actual Italian food. Nothing is more disappointing than a pizza in Italy.

The problem with Italian restaurants is that they can't do pasta properly. They always serve it with lots of bite in it and the sauce isn't sweet enough. It's amazing how much they charge and they still can't equal what you can get in a tin for 45p at Tesco.

TLOU2 isn’t hated for its story..it’s hated for strong female leads and characters that don’t fit the male gaze.

@JustinMoretti2 @fandompulse I don’t watch the show but that sounds dumb. Now prove that the person responsible for that line was only hired to fill a quota. There are plenty of incompetent and underqualified WASPs working in Film and pretty much every other industry.

@BenGrahamUK I’m not a structural engineer but £100 million sounds like too much for what it is. I’m not opposed to environmental protections being a consideration in big projects like this, but I don’t trust that a big portion of that number hasn’t been embezzled somewhere.

The High Speed 2 “bat tunnel” is one of the clearest examples of how Britain is tying itself in knots. A structure built to comply with environmental legislation has cost over £100 million. It was designed to protect a colony of around 300 rare Bechstein’s bats living in ancient woodland. That’s roughly £333,000 per bat. We are not failing to build because we lack engineers or ambition, we are failing because we’ve made infrastructure hostage to bureaucracy. No serious country can grow like this.

@fandompulse If there’s a pattern of it happening you can suggest it’s DEI. But you can’t just say this show sucks because they insisted in putting black and fat people in it

@fandompulse ‘DEI’ implies that people who don’t have the required talent have been hired to fill a quota. The problem with that is that it’s impossible to prove.

I’ll tell you guys a life hack if you’re single. Carry a $1,000 in cash in your wallet. Everyone typically has $1,000 in their bank, it’s not impressive, but in cash? WHOA! brain goes wow! Pull it out in front of a cashier, pull off a money clip (this is one of mine) and ask if they take cash. If not, they saw the cash. Because I travel a lot. I always carry $1,000, £500 and €500 in cash wherever I go at the very least, it solves a lot of problems

@TheRabbitHole If a superhero movie does most of their filming in the UK or Georgia it’s still an LA-based company making all of the money at the box office. Nothing whatsoever to do with how woke they are.

@TheRabbitHole On location production activity is a weird metric to judge their success by. The decline can be accounted for by things like technology making filming on a soundstage more viable and other countries and states offering incentives to move production there.

Hollywood went Woke. Now it’s going broke.
