@unanimous448 @GiftedMoney Come on… you can’t pretend that was great booking. Titles are props, title wins are never evidence of good booking. How do you feel about Ciampa’s TNT title run? Also NXT talent being called up is usually not incredible.

@GoPats93 @GiftedMoney Well I mean, I and many others watch them both. Not sure why you WWE-only diehards are incapable of acknowledging reality but alas, you’re the reason people think graps fans are the shittiest.

@GoPats93 @GiftedMoney There are 2 shows a week, 3 if you count ROH. When Mariah was on, she was part of one of the best pro wrestling angles in years and got plenty of time. Take your bad faith argument and shove it up your dicklips, and also demand better booking from the show you worship.

@artikingreignz @TheOgIronWolf One can enjoy wrestlers while also criticizing the booking of said wrestlers. Don’t have an aneurism trying to weigh that sentiment in your brain.

@TheOgIronWolf Brock was right. This generation is too soft and full of sentiments. You want Wyatts all of a sudden cause they got fired but bashed them when they were in the company for being boring

@GiftedMoney “Teased getting naked for 3 months.” Brother, you didn’t watch the show. This verifies that. And how well has her Blake Monroe character worked doing… exactly what you just described? I watch both companies, you’re not convincing me of what I’ve witnessed with my own eyes.

@FunWrestling1 Well I think her character got pretty ruined by the absolute dog shit women’s title reign she had where she teased getting naked for 3 months for some reason and then just treading water until it was time for Toni to win it back in Australia

(1/3) 🧵 class is now in session from the top, this is what happens when a production mistakes mood for direction there must be a misunderstanding in wrestling tv that “cinematic” means lower the lights, move slower, find an industrial room, let people stare in silence. that is surface aesthetics, not filmmaking. real cinematic work comes from intentional choices: point of view, power dynamics, blocking, framing, pacing + behavior. this segment leans on atmosphere bc it lacks command everywhere else. dim light and slow tension are being used as substitutes for authorship. there’s no clear point of view. so, the viewer never knows whose anxiety, control, or vulnerability we’re meant to inhabit. the camera observes everyone and commits to no one. that makes the scene emotionally neutral. the power dynamics don’t exist. no one meaningfully gains or loses leverage moment to moment. bodies don’t shift status, territory isn’t challenged, entrances don’t alter the room. it’s just people sharing space. the blocking is passive. performers are parked instead of positioned. nobody corners, circles, isolates, crowds, protects, or threatens. movement should tell the story before dialogue does. here it barely tells us anything. the framing has no hierarchy. shots don’t declare who matters most in each beat. faces compete with background clutter, standing bodies flatten depth, key reactions aren’t privileged. if everyone is framed equally, nobody feels important. the pacing confuses slowness with tension. scenes can breathe, but breath still needs pulse. this plateaus early and stays there. no escalation, no compression, no snap turns. behavior is generic “serious face” acting. intensity without specific intention is empty calories. where are the tells, the impatience, the fake calm, the insecurity, the hunger, the contempt? everyone is stern, so no one is interesting. that’s why it leans on atmosphere, and atmosphere is the cheapest cinematic currency. smoke, shadows, silence, ominous vibes. without command of the fundamentals, atmosphere only camouflages weak scene construction. what should be frustrating to you as a viewer is the ingredients are very strong. you’ve got top of the card stars: will ospreay, jon moxley, and the death riders. those names should provide hierarchy, conflict + stakes before the camera rolls a director’s job there is not to invent drama from nothing. it is to organize existing drama into clear visual language. instead, the scene feels unfocused + overly dependent on darkness + presence the first issue is directorial concept. every scene should begin with one question: what should the audience feel? fear? unease? sympathy for ospreay? respect for moxley’s control? suspicion the faction is unstable? whatever the answer was, it is not communicated cleanly. the segment wants to be tense, but tension is not a setting. tension is built through choices the location is a prime example. the room appears to be a generic industrial/backstage space. that can work if the environment becomes part of the story. it can feel claustrophobic, hostile, ritualistic or dangerous. here it mostly functions as empty square footage. no sense this is death riders territory, no history, no environmental storytelling, no visual signature. a strong director uses location as character. this room is simply available space. then blocking, where the segment most clearly lacks authority. blocking is not where people stand. blocking is how power moves through a room. who advances, retreats, circles, remains still because they already own it, gets isolated, gets trapped. here, most performers appear placed rather than directed moxley should control the distance + tempo. if he is the interrogator, he should own the geography of the room. he should decide when space closes, silence stretches, pressure rises. instead he reads as another participant and not the gravitational center

@HialeahJBoogie @wittyjack__ You don't even know that it's "Triller" & not "Thriller." You're just talking to talk. AEW's PPVs are available on HBO Max, Amazon and MyAEW, and their international TV can be viewed on MyAEW. They outgrew the need for Triller and opted not to remain on the service. "Booted" lmao

@wittyjack__ "The wheels on the AEW bus do not go round and round. They coming off this mf'er!" When you're up, you recruit/hire and not layoff. Shahid Khan pulling the weeds. When you're hot, you don't get booted from the lowest streaming service. Thriller TV is keeping it real. 🤭

When I see the moves I do elsewhere, I only take it as a compliment. If somehow I inspired people to use them, I can only be grateful. Besides, seeing the OWA on the WM ring was kinda neat, right? It’s all good with me!
