@Leo_Traydes Long term investors with 7 figur portfolio might not check their portfolio multiple times a day but they do check the markets/stocks performance (and Twitter) daily or several times a day. This addiction has different flavors. Very few have restrain.

For experienced investors I don’t think this pertains to you Maybe this whole thing is just me being the dumbass I am… but let me explain I started investing as a long term investor I switched to Robinhood from Fidelity and within the first month I sold all ETFs and started stock picking No this isn’t Robinhoods fault I know that But my point here is that Robinhood obviously is targeting the younger generations We all know this The younger generations are less experienced, less disciplined, and are often looking to make a quick dollar The UI/UX of the platform itself is encouraging/preying on people like this to make more trades and moves It’s quite evident. Then adding prediction markets. Yes I know you can toggle them off. Simply put though, this is predatory behavior. But that’s the corporate world though, every company is like this I simply just don’t want my retirement funds associated with this platform Basically, I think new investors should start on brokerages like Fidelity and Schwab for a few years and build good investing habits before they switch over to Robinhood because there is no denying Robinhood is a great platform I just don’t think for the inexperienced new guys it’s the best. You become addicted to the app. They make it fun checking your portfolio daily I would happily bet long term investors with 7 figures plus in their accounts aren’t checking their portfolio daily, so why should the little guys like me be checking my $10,000 retirement fund 10x a day? It just doesn’t make sense. Maybe this is just me and I’m delusional though But I will say I was once a fanboy who defended the platform like all of you in my comments… maybe be open to seeing things from the other side 🤷‍♂️
Leo@Leo_Traydes

Tons of people on X are leaving $HOOD right now I’m seeing it left and right Now I don’t want to say I started a movement but… 🤷‍♂️

I love staying up late doing Netflix and chill with the wifey:) MADISON is our latest binge. Not bad through the first 1.5 episodes so far. We just binged the latest season of Virgin River and are awaiting the next season of Ransom Canyon. What are your favorite shows to binge with your significant other or solo if you don’t have anyone at the moment?

@HighYieldHustle I am leaving Robinhood. I going to fanduel or sportsbook or draftkings. The investments tab on RH is interfering and slowing down my predictive markets betting.

I’m leaving Robinhood. I logged in this morning to find out that Vlad Tenev took a HELOC on my house & bet all the money on prediction markets. He bet that the FED would cut interest rates last week… they didn’t. He then bet that the war in Iran would end today. He lost everything. I am not responsible for any of this. Robinhood has no guardrails. They must be stopped.

What’s the solution for this? 1) Open the door really slowly and try to hold the bowls by the edge? 2) Open the door really fast but underneath you are holding a large wide bucket with a bunch of soft towels to cause a soft landing? 3) There’s actually another sliding door on the right not shown in the pic which you can access the bowls from? 4) Just let all the bowls drop and shatter since they’re ugly anyways? And you just like chaos too. What would you do?

@GabbbarSingh They should make one spinoff movie showing Alam and Jamali’s backstory and journey. Maybe include Rizwan’s story also. Ranveer can play a surprise cameo role (30 mins in Dhar time) singing old romantic songs and wooing a girl in Pathankot.

To compensate for those movie critics who refused to watch Dhurandhar 2, I watched it the 2nd time, noticed some points: (Spoilers ahead) 1. In the lynching scene where Major Iqbal issues a warning to SP Chaudhry, SP says he will die in an LTF car while smoking. And exactly that happens later 2. When Hamza tells Alam his backstory, Hamza asks for Alam’s story. He says “Jis din mera dil bhar aayega uss din bataunga” The day he reveals, Hamza fills his heart with bullets. 3. Yami gautam while playing Nurse, wears a name-tag of “Shazia Bano”, that was the character she played in the movie Haq. 4. SP plans Omar’s death by sending him to Johar route, and asks his driver to send a Bouquet to his family, but SP dies and Omar offers just one rose, while everybody brings wreaths to the funeral.

@TheAtulMishra Praising and saying "people want to marry Dhurandhar" are 3 different things :-) He is such a brilliant writer and director but his reviews writing sucks. I loved most of his movies but definitely do not like his reviews.

RGV is hyping to the skies: calls it Sholay x100, a total game-changer that’ll make every classic film (Mughal-e-Azam onward) look like a TV serial. Says it births a new cinematic era, crowns Aditya Dhar as the ultimate director, and even Spielberg/Nolan should drop everything for first-day-first-show. Pure over-the-top RGV flair.

After last nights watch of #Dhurandhar2 in terms of it’s sheer cumulative impact in every which way , whether on it’s expected collections , audience euphoria , social influences , cinematic grammar breaking , and above all the psychological audio visual impact , it will be a SHOLAY x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far starting from MUGHAL E AZAM. onwards look like TV SERIALS This is the BIRTH of a NEW CINEMATIC ORDER and the ruthless extinction of everything that that ever existed before.in the previous WORLD of CINEMA The very spelling of the word DIRECTOR will start from @adityadharfilms name , and it will be prudent and wise for even STEVEN SPIELBERG and CHRISTOPHER NOLAN to drop everything they are doing, and catch #Dhurandhar2 FIRST DAY FiRST SHOW

Fact: If you pay your house off it’s always paid off. Fact: if you instead put that money into stocks based on “historic data” and the market crashes, you could lose it all, or a big portion. And you would still owe on the house. I will never understand how staying in debt supersedes investment money. Pay off the mortgage then start investing that amount but be debt free. The secure feeling alone is worth it. Plus a paid for home grows in value, can be used as a rental, etc. I am far from Dave Ramsay on debt but if you’ve ever lost everything and been homeless during 2008 or another crash you might know where I am coming from, too many people only look at the last 10-15yrs of data.
Zach Melloh, CFP®@zachmelloh26

Should you pay off your mortgage early or invest instead? A couple recently faced this exact dilemma. They had $180k in cash and a $175k mortgage at 3.1%. Spouse #1: “Let’s just pay it off. I hate debt. I want the house free and clear.” Spouse #2: “No way. Why use cash to eliminate a 3% loan when we could invest it at 7% or more based on historical returns?” Both had valid points. Her math said invest it. His stress levels said pay it off. So they compromised... paid off half, invested half — improving cash flow and keeping their long-term plan on track. This decision isn’t purely financial. It’s emotional, behavioral, and personal. And that’s why this debate will never end. Have you run your numbers on this scenario? (Example is hypothetical and for illustrative purposes only)

@nowme_datta I respectfully disagree. The batsman can reach 100 by hitting a six while on 94 or 95, or a four or six while on 96. He cannot take the scenic route, is all.

In the Gambhir era, the maximum a batsman can reach is 97. If a batsman reaches 100, he must apologise, fall on his knees preferably on his own wicket and exit immediately in deep shame.
