started building the KödLocal engine in Ködade and Fable won't do it. all it does is allow a user to use their own local models inside my ADE. just 1 of MANY reasons i am phasing out of using claude.

Okay, announcing the new name for Small Harness. Very excited about this, may take a week or two to do all the repo changes, domain updates, etc. But soon, Small Harness will become Albatross. Same mission. A free open source harness where local and frontier models play nicely together. As local AI continues to progress, I think we're going to see this combo as a powerful one, and I hope Albatross can help devs leverage both in a fast, easy, and fully transparent way.

Why do users hate login screens? Around 40% of my users drop off as soon as they reach the login screen. Is offering a guest mode the right solution? How do you solve this problem?

i have been building an ADE app called Ködade (helluva learning experience!) Ködade is an Agentic Development Environment (ADE) that wraps the agent CLIs I already pay for (Claude, Codex, Grok, opencode, etc.) in one workspace. terminals, file tree, editor, gh diff, browser... using your own logins. local models on your own machine is a feature i haven't started on yet, but is on my list next. it's going to be available as native Mac and Windows desktop apps, plus a full web app (run it on an always-on box, use it from any browser). some of the features I have been adding, because they are features I find useful for me: • KödHarness: See and manage exactly what every agent CLI will read before it runs: instruction files, skills, subagents, and MCP registrations, unified across CLIs and projects. (Free inspector / Pro editing & multi-CLI matrix) • KödSSH: Mission control for agent CLIs on your remote machines: connect over your own SSH, pin remote projects, and launch agents on the box with one click. • KödWeb: Run Ködade on a VPS or homelab box and use it from any browser; close your laptop, reopen anywhere, and everything reattaches and replays what you missed. • KödPR: In-app diff and PR review built for agent-sized changes: risk-ranked "read this first" ordering, review progress tracking, and line comments that become fix prompts sent straight back to the agent. • KödWhisper: Hold a key, speak, and your prompt lands in the focused agent terminal, all local, no cloud STT. • Köd Workspace: The sidebar becomes an attention-aware work surface that surfaces what your agents are actually touching, instead of a static project tree. • KödMem: Local-first project memory that turns session activity into durable, inspectable context that survives between sessions. • KödMCP: A built-in MCP server that lets any agent CLI read from KödMem and write useful outcomes back, shared memory across all your agents. still a LONG ways to go, but I might get a free version up and running soon. Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50% of limits. Pro and Team Standard users will continue to have access to Fable via usage credits, and will receive a one-time $100 credit. Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.
