@sweatystartup When you are starting to see hardware with 128GB RAM able to run 70B+ LLM on them for $2500-$5k though, I don’t know. Remember when the office copy machine cost more than that? Self hosted AI is coming faster than a lot of people think.

Every time you consider making a key AI tool a significant part of your business ask: Would this tool still make sense if it costs 5x as much? How disruptive would it be to stop using it completely 6 months from now? People aren’t thinking about the downstream impact.

@BMFiore2 @AlexForbesOps You’re absolutely right with those panels, I only ever wired them up back in the 90s as an electrician but never built them.

Of course @AlexForbesOps started this, now I need to know how difficult they are to build to meet building code in the US (they are based in UK)

What’s your move? You get a call: “We need an estimate for a small project, but it needs to be cheap because we don’t have any money”

@Bitcoin_Teddy Can’t wait for 𝕏 to dissolve these AI slop accounts. This isn’t decent writing It’s pure bs. BTW no, I didn’t pay $3200 for rent but I also only made $5/hr framing homes and had two roomates in a 1br apartment. Ate green beans out the can for dinner sometimes. STFU.

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

Every month I buy 3-5 section 8 rental properties, and the numbers always look something like this: Purchase price: $110k Cash to close: $30k Monthly rent: $1550 Annual cashflow: $5,100 Cash on cash return: 17% Year 1 tax deduction: ~$30k What else provides a ~dollar per dollar tax deduction, great cashflow, and a guaranteed 5x return on capital (excluding appreciation) when the federal government pays off the debt after 30 years?

Feel like I’ve seen this before… Anyway, I haven’t looked in a long time but I imagine it’s slim pick in’s for exact match. Back in 2008 I did it with “Raleigh Fence Contractors” and had my first Twitter handle as @ thefencepost … wasn’t any contractors of any kind on Twitter back then, but Raleigh had a lot of Tweetups and people remembered me at them, got a lot of work from it. The domain dominated in 60 days too.

If I had to start again from nothing right now.. I'd 100% focus on building local service business brands around EMDs (exact match domains). Its just too easy in this environment..

Was in the infield that day, the entire week. We got in so early we watched all the haulers come in (friend owned a Nextel store and provided all the EMS radios, so we got in way early) The next morning after packing up we stopped at the Sonny’s BBQ almost across the road. It was quieter than Church in there the entire time we sat there trying to eat. Everyone was pale, staring off at nothing. Came back for the July race, infield again and watched you take it home. Also was there for the tribute concert at Daytona. Couple years later was at Rockingham, Dad was in billboard advertising and sold a lot to Budweiser so we were in the box for Bud, was supposed To get to meet you and had a hat to get signed. They came around and said the drivers meeting was running behind and y ooh weren’t going to make it. So Dad took me and my brother down to the garage, got Kenny Wallace to sign my lanyard pit pass as he walked by. When we got back up to the Budweiser Box you had just left, we missed it. My first race was ‘Dega 1990, Sr won and I’ve been Earnhardt since, up till you retired. Hard to believe it was 25yrs ago. I wish Lou would have been at Sonny’s.

@CoachSHoltz When my dad passed in 2001 our entire company was devastated. I wondered how best to empower our employees and our own mental toughness. So I invited Lou to come speak. He got us fired up and helped us realize the opportunity we had in front of us. It was a huge help to us all.

Question for all you #retwit residential pros, flippers, investors - let’s say I acquire a property with an LLC for $500,000 with 10-20% down using a HML. Now let’s say I put my own cash into the renovation and now the property is worth $800,000 - but I want to hold it for a while. How would I refinance this to get some of the equity out?

A few weeks ago, a friend, business mentor, and plumbing company owner called me and asked “what are you doing with AI these days?” I told him that I had unlocked the power of AI agents to reduce admin and help streamline things for my remodeling company. He said he wanted one. On Friday afternoon, we set him up with a Blue Collar OS agent he named Merlin. On Saturday, he canceled a $40,000 consulting contract after Merlin delivered the results to him in half an hour. Then this 61 year-old plumber started building his own apps. If an old(er) 🤣 plumber can learn new tricks so can you!

These golf sim kits are pretty slick. If you knew what you were doing you could probably get this built in a long weekend. Full blown golf cabin in your back yard.

@contractorkeith I can have one of my experts pay a visit where we will take the measurements, show you the options and styles of what we can do in that space. After that we will go over the promotions and provide you with a written quote that we will hold for at least up to a year.
