The burden of justice is always lighter than the burden of injustice.
Today, Nigeria is staggering under the crushing weight of systemic, back-breaking injustice. Every act of repression, corruption, impunity, and inequality imposed on the people only makes the nation’s burden heavier.
Justice liberates. Injustice suffocates. Until Nigeria chooses justice over oppression, the country will continue to carry a burden no nation can long endure.

Peter Obi’s new lies
Peter Obi’s recent claims of being targeted by the government—citing an incident involving his car at the airport, which, by his own account, must have resulted from flouting parking regulations—are simply unfounded and misleading.
As a pathological and serial liar, Mr Obi is intent on dragging the government into every personal inconvenience he encounters, often resorting to exaggeration and baseless allegations.
His claim that he may not be alive for the January 2027 election and that people are being pressured not to invite him to social events is nothing more than a fabricated narrative, a page from his book of lies and propaganda. These claims lack substance and are designed to attract undue sympathy and deflect attention from his credibility deficit and the problems faced by his SPV and his adopted political association, the NDC.
It is important to note that Mr Obi has a substantial interest in Fidelity Bank. The institution continues to thrive as a result of the current administration’s robust economic reforms. The government is certainly not targeting the bank. Rather than being “haunted” by the government, Mr Obi appears to be grappling with the consequences of his litany of unfounded statements.
The Tinubu government remains fully focused on consolidating its historic and beneficial reforms for the good of all Nigerians. It has neither the time nor the inclination to be distracted by Mr Obi’s self-serving narratives and lies or by his candidacy, as he constantly diminishes himself with specious, unverifiable utterances.

Petrol and cooking gas prices have decreased this week and are set for further reductions next week. Am I lying? Of course not! You can fact-check me. You know it is true. But you did not praise President Tinubu. Yet, if the reverse happens and they increase, you will be the first to criticise the President.
Also, the International Institute for Management Development World Competitiveness Ranking 2026 listed Nigeria as the best-performing economy in Africa bar none. Again, you did not celebrate President Tinubu. But God forbid that the IMD ranked us as the worst-performing economy in Africa, you would have broken the Internet.
Look, many good things are happening in Nigeria under His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The challenge is that you have confirmation bias against Nigeria and prefer to seek out negative information about your country.
That is why you, who are either in school or have a brother, sister, or cousin attending a university, fail to give credit to President Tinubu for providing Nigeria with a strike-free academic calendar for three years for the first time.
While you were mocking the First Lady's Akara economy, she has quietly empowered tens of thousands of women to fry Akara, roast corn, and process garri. She is a visionary who knows that it is better to be busy doing something small than to be jobless and talking about something big.
An Iya Alakara is better than an Iya Gbeborun!
Nigeria is making astronomical progress. Take off your glasses of negativity so you can see it.
