People love to fight, argue, and be hostile, it's natural for humans. But it seems to very rarely work in terms of winning someone to your ideas. From what I can tell, you need to control yourself and do the opposite if you actually want to have an impact: Start with empathy, find common ground, and tell stories about your concepts.
