This analysis is completely lopsided, Israelis have been 50 shades of right wing for at least half a decade.
Even in 2015, Labour changed its name & claim to be a centre party to remove associations with leftism.

Yeah, well, the massive resurgence of global antisemitism will do that. Israel has weathered terrorism for a long time. But now, Israelis see the mob that waited outside of Eden Golan's hotel in Sweden because she dared to survive October 7 and participate in Eurovision. They see the posters in the windows of tiny cafes in Tokyo that inform them the owner will not serve Israelis. They are harassed in elite classes they paid to attend by Ivy League professors. They saw the people that hunted for Israelis outside an airport in Russia. Under such circumstances, what kind of fool has any faith in the international world order? When has the world turning against one nationality ever ended in anything other than that country deciding that militant nationalism is the only way to ensure the survival of its people? Well, perhaps the world ought to ask itself if this is the result it wanted. Because it certainly is behaving like it is.

@ahhhh112358 You can easily make that case, which is why I said at least half a decade. Tracing Israel’s rightwards march to antisemitism is even funnier given that in polls the right is getting *less* seats than 2022.

@CoIddough Labour undoubtedly attempted to campaign as a centre party in that election.
Labour’s PMs didn’t support splitting Jerusalem, but iirc Yechimowitz, mitzna, and Peretz did.
This even proves my point that he attempted to disconnect from the left to return as a ruling party

The funny thing is we have one of the world’s most LGBT friendly population and big govt is so prevalent here that Netanyahu literally campaigned on free kindergarten under 3.

The reason so many shows are set in the 80s and 90s is cellphones make like 50% of plots obsolete. Contact anyone at any time, find almost any piece of knowledge, it's very difficult to get lost.
Same reason Star Trek has "oh, communications are blocked" every 2nd episode.

@BluescreenZ Any sensible govt will have to increase resident arnona and remove most if not all exemption criterias. Otherwise the local govt crisis and home price crisis will never ever stop. Currently cities *lose money* on residential arnona
