One thing that seems to be lost with all the Cherki talk is that what he did was actually useful.
He was 1) killing Arsenal’s momentum/wasting time 2) baiting to win a foul and 3) keeping the ball.
All three were things Man City needed at the time.

They are clearly not losers or chokers or anything of the sort. They’re a team who rely heavily on their mentality rather than their footballing qualities.
But Sunday’s defeat by Manchester City — particularly the manner of it — has undoubtedly increased the pressure to prove they can finally be the winners they feel they are. That game on April 19 was always going to be huge, even with a significant lead in the title race. After this, it is bigger still

This will be like Klopp going for the Quad in his final season & leaving in shame with just the league cup, Pep will rightfully celebrate tonight but in May he’ll look back & feel like he didn’t get what he wanted. We have to keep our eyes on the prize, if we win the league cup & nothing else we’d see it as failure, if we win the PL & nothing else we’ll see it as the best season in 22 years. This needs to be a lesson for them, channel It.

I hear this and in the context of the season
It’s just one game.
But so are other big games in Fa cup and CL as well.
Defining moments like this need to be taken because it helps fan confidence .
It’s okay to be positive

Just to put things into perspective - This is our first loss in cup games all season. - This is our fourth loss all season. We are in March. - We are still 9 points ahead of City with just 7 games to go. Don’t let one bad performance and result change the fact we are very very close to achieve something special this season. Use this loss as a fuel to win the rest of the games.
