A fully fused, 3D pi-conjugated Archimedean cage (a truncated tetrahedron) was synthesized in one pot! The solvent molecule (o-DCB) serves as template and is trapped in the magnetically shielded cavity. Paper was just published in @J_A_C_S pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
Check out these La(III)-Zn(II) cages: pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10… Great collaboration with my dear colleagues Dong Yang, @JakeyLG, @TanyaRonson. Favourite parts: the #crownether-like coordination unit for the La(III)s and the cooperativity.😁 Excited to see this out in @J_A_C_S!
