@curtiswoodhous8 Nowadays you would have Lampard/Scholes/Gerrard as 3 in middle, Rooney and Beckham wide (from this team, not saying best players to play) and it would have had much better balance. The 4-4-2 just never worked for England as they tried to shoe horn players into team.
