If it actually takes months for the Strait of Hormuz to open then we are in for some pain in the weeks and months ahead.

Don't tell me I didn't warn you. The process of fuel shortages in Asia, Europe, Africa and in pockets of the Americas (think California, Peru, etc) is unstoppable now. Jet fuel shortages are a 100% predictable outcome with no solution at this point of the process. Full stop.
