Before I log off for a week, I must comment to say that it is immensely disheartening to see this from an Irish company. It is all the more egregious considering their bikes are made in China. There are many of us proud Irish people who will continue to do what we can to combat the societal attitudes that emboldened this company to discriminate with such confidence. We love our country and know that, for it to flourish, we must stamp out this bigotry.

A few years ago, my husband — a cycling enthusiast — invested almost $300 in a “built to last” balance bike from @LittleBigBikes for our kids, specifically because parts could be replaced over time. Today, as our youngest needs new pedals and brakes, the company refuses to ship to Israel. Not to a government — to customers. Companies are, of course, free to take political positions. But refusing to serve individuals based solely on where they live is not a “peace stance.” It’s collective exclusion and discrimination. People who oppose boycotts should know where this company stand.

@BHAFC1690 @HappyCenter3 @strxwmxn Zios are as much a lost cause as the Nazis were, so fully and blindly indoctrinated that they actually believe what they spout. Palestinians let alone anyone not a Zionist are viewed as insignificant goy. I wouldn’t waste my time with the fascists.

@HappyCenter3 @Fvckutvitter @strxwmxn Utterly clueless!! Israel is not 'free and great' if you are a Palestinian and can't live where you want, can't travel where you want, can't marry who you want and are subject to much discrimination within Israel itself and murderous Israeli policies in Gaza and the West Bank!

Not sure if you know this, Martina, but for nearly 5 decades the UN has promised Israel that southern Lebanon would be kept free of terror orgs (PLO then, Hezbollah now) threatening northern Israel. That promise has been repeatedly broken. UN Resolution 425 was passed in 1978 after the PLO attacked civilians in northern Israel and deployed UNIFIL to secure the area south of the Litani River. The PLO returned under UNIFIL's watch and kept attacking northern Israel. In 2006, after a devastating war that Hezbollah started, the UN passed Resolution 1701 explicitly demanding Hezbollah withdraw north of the Litani River, which the Lebanese government even signed onto. Hezbollah ignored all of it and over the next two decades built thousands of rocket positions, tunnels, and bunkers right under UNIFIL's nose. UNIFIL did nothing. Lebanon did nothing. The UN documented the violations and did nothing. Hezbollah started attacking Israel on October 8, 2023 and for two years kept launching rockets, paralyzing all of northern Israel, displacing tens of thousands of Israelis (many of them Arab and Druze) seeking shelter, and turning cities like Metula and Kiryat Shmona into ghost towns. At the end of 2024, another ceasefire agreement made the same demand for Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani river. Hezbollah violated it again, joining the Iran War. Multiple guarantees. Multiple violations. All by these terror orgs. And Israeli civilians paid the price. Israel has had enough: neither the Lebanese government nor the UN have the capability nor the will to enforce these commitments. Israel is now justly taking matters into their hands, and anyone who's clutching their pearls about it needs to explain exactly what it is Israel should do instead. Otherwise, they're being either willfully ignorant or dishonest.
Martina Navratilova@Martina

@strxwmxn Southern part of Lebanon cannot be a buffer zone. Just how big a zone does one need? Those drones can hit from anywhere…as we are seeing now. Bombing civilian houses is surely not a solution

@Savakzadeh @LauraLoomer And this is why you never take Zionists as ally’s. They dont want a successful or operable Iran they want blood… they want Israel to be able to do whatever it wants without hinderance… they want to steal as much land as they want.. they don’t care about you…

You're off totally off on this one, unfortunately this is why we Iranians urge people to learn the difference between Iran vs the Islamic Republic. What you're suggesting would leave Iran in a similar state of Iraq, Afghanistan, and even worse, and NOBODY wants that. We want a successful mission here, and that is to take out the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC, not "Iran". I highly suggest you research some more.

If we really want to be taken seriously when we talk about sending Iran “back to the stone ages” then this is what needs to happen. The US needs to bomb Iran’s: Power & water infrastructure Bank and financial institutions Production/storage facilities for fertilizer and pesticides Every single Islamist/regime “cultural heritage” sites, including every single mosque Natural gas and oil pipelines Kharg Island Civil logistics hubs Courthouses and jails All of these need to be hit. We need to deprive Iran of all the niceties of a moderne day society, and we need to do so now. And then we need to make the people beg on their knees for humanitarian food assistance from the international Red Cross so that the people force Iran to surrender to the US. This is how you WIN wars. Cutis LeMay understood this very well. It’s time to carpet bomb Iran. Force them to their knees. Destroy the infrastructure. It’s the only way.

THOUSANDS flooding Trafalgar Square for the Passion of Jesus on Good Friday! A Christian revival is coming to Britain — and it's about damn time. We've let our faith be mocked and replaced long enough. This is our country. This is our Christian heritage. Stand up, fight back, and reclaim Britain for Christ! 🙏🇬🇧✝️

Actually, the PLO came about in 1964, 3 years before Israel ever set foot in the West Bank or Gaza (which were Jordanian and Egyptian territory). Their original charter explicitly called for the destruction of Israel, not ending oppression in land they never ever controlled. The 1982 Lebanon War wasn’t Israel starting anything. It was a response to years of PLO terror attacks across the Israeli border and rocket fire from their safe haven in Lebanon after they’ve been Nakba’ed from Jordan for terrorizing Jordan itself (nothing to do with Israel). You can’t rewrite history to pretend the occupier was the one who started the war when the PLO’s entire existence was about rejecting Jewish sovereignty from day one. The “occupier is always at war” line is just shameless terrorist apologia meant to sound like critical theory. Happy Passover and good afternoon!
glasgowkush@Fvckutvitter

@strxwmxn So let’s get somethings straight… The plo came about because of ongoing Zionist oppression of Palestinians. What you fail to mention is 1982 was started by Israel… which led to the occupation of Lebanon. You can’t start a war against an occupier as the occupier is always at war

@HappyCenter3 @strxwmxn Your inability to recognise your state and ideology (Zionism) for what it is, is quite frankly amazing, much the same way the Nazis couldn’t see the evils of their ideology.

Zionists think they know better than genocide scholars… 1930/40s Germany would be a perfect example of a populace so brainwashed by an ideology that they couldn’t recognise their own evils.

Truth is now considered a right-wing conspiracy. That’s the chilling line from Melanie Phillips that stopped me in my tracks. She explains how we’ve reached a point where simply stating observable reality — whether it’s basic biology defining a woman or pushing back against blanket accusations that all white people are inherently bad — gets you branded as evil. Not wrong. Evil. Therefore you must be silenced, cancelled, or erased. No debate. No evidence allowed. She calls it cultural totalitarianism: a Manichean worldview where one ideology claims a monopoly on goodness, progress, and reason itself. Dissent isn’t argued with — it’s treated as a moral threat that has to be removed. The deepest irony? In an era that smugly ditched religion in the name of superior rationality, we’ve ended up rejecting reason, evidence, and open inquiry altogether. We’re so “rational” we’ve dispensed with the very tools of rationality. It doesn’t add up. Her take has me wondering how we got here — and how quickly disagreement turned into moral excommunication. Anyone else seeing this pattern play out in conversations lately? Where have you felt truth itself become off-limits?
