Escape from Tarkov: Arena
Customs is one of the most iconic and recognizable locations in #EscapefromTarkov. Every floor, staircase, and dark hallway of the Customs Dorms has long been memorized by experienced fighters. Dorms already appeared in #TarkovArena during the winter event. Right now, we’re reworking the location, and it will be returning to the game soon. With that in mind, we’d like to hear your opinion: how would you like to see Dorms implemented in Arena? ● As authentic as possible – just like in EFT, preserving the original location’s unique layout and atmosphere. ● Reworked for the fast-paced and competitive gameplay of EFT: Arena. Nerfing things that kill fast in an extraction shooter where the ttk is supposed to be fast doesnt make sense. Shotguns should be scary to fight in cqb. Snipers should be strong in long range. The knife is fine where it is. Idk why are are asking for nerfs that will ultimately make the ttk longer (which nobody who played it when it was long liked) but not buff the things that are statistically underperforming in comparison? You can nerf things without changing their strengths in extraction shooters by changing their availability.

BALANCE SHAKE UP! We're looking to make some changes in the next couple of patches to adjust some of the outliers in the combat space that we've both seen in our observations and heard from your feedback across all of the various (and plentiful) channels we watch. Some of these changes will be likely coming in the next patch, the next set will likely be arriving a week after. Here's some of the areas we're focusing on adjusting: - Bubble shields being too easy to get, too powerful to use. - The Knife scaling too easily to god like power levels. - Thermal scopes being too present and dominant - Snipers being too strong in all scenarios. - Giving Vandal and Recon some more oomph to match their counterparts. ALSO we're adding some stuff that can help add texture to the outcomes of fights: - SECRET: A new item to give solos a more common option when downed. - SECRET: A new item to give a more merciful option between crews. There'll be a lot more goodies in the coming patches and more details as the patch notes go live. Thank you all again for keeping the feedback flowing. We've still got a big list of things we're looking into that extends beyond this that will take us more time to figure out and we'll update you as we continue to build on our evolving plans.

Why are we asking for them to nerf things that are just gonna end up making the ttk longer when we spent the entire server slam asking them not to change it? Why dont we not touch the things that already kill fast but then make the things that dont kill fast better? There are more weapons that are ass than ones that are good. Util spam is 10000x more ass than getting knifed. Just a thought. 🤔

Alright everyone we're going a bit rogue here. We have a bit of an experimental feature that's in development we want to test and we'd love for you to help. As of Wednesday morning 3/18 at 10am PT, we'll be enabling a limited time duos queue on Perimeter only to test how the game plays with crews of 2 at a wider scale. Important things to note: -- It will be on Perimeter only for now. -- The test will last about 2 weeks (but we might cut it off early or elongate it depending on what's going on). -- You can only enter duos with a premade group of you and another friend. (no matchmaking solo into duos). -- You will be matched with other duos only. -- You can select "Perimeter - Duo" from the zone select screen to access it. (not the final intended ux flow right now) -- Some things will be a bit jank. Just a note: this is a bit of an experimental feature so we expect to learn some things along the way and make changes to future versions of this. This likely won't be the final implementation of how it would look and flow in the game, but for now it was easiest way for us to get it to you all to help us test. We're excited to run this experiment with you all. Pending what we learn, we're hoping to expand duos as a queue in the future and we wanted to take this first step sooner than later so we could understand how it affects our game better before investing a lot more time in fleshing out the feature. Additionally, this is unlikely to be the last experiment we run, so look forward to more as we continue to evolve Marathon. FOR SCIENCE!

I was really sceptical about Marathon but it's honestly not a bad extraction shooter. However, aside from the unique artstyle & lore it doesnt really bring anything new to the genre in my opinion. The music is amazing btw. Check out Ryan Lott.

@Gigabeef I thought the general idea of attachments balancing in Delta Force was really good The ADS movement stat, hipfire stat, first bullet recoil, horizontal recoil etc It made all attachments useful and gunbuilding interesting instead of Tarkov's pricier attachments are better

My biggest concern is that we're sacrificing progression on the altar of "no metas" and I'm not sure if it's necessarily for the best. I know it's a shame to see only a few parts used, but the attachments need more levers than just "ergo/recoil/price" if we want a proper rebalance - How about suppressors get a working loudness stat? You could choose a "bad" suppressor because it's extra quiet - Brakes give different muzzle flashes depending on whether they are comps or flash hiders - Grips give vertical and horizontal recoil control in different quantities - Maybe stocks and foregrips can adjust move speed when ads'd Just the first few things that came into my head. Lots of things that could be done, but imo the one dimensionality of the system currently means you'll either have metas or no real progression of items - there's not really an in between. I didn't really mind how it was before!

Update 1.0.2.5 brought significant changes to weapon attachments in #EscapefromTarkov. We were very interested in hearing your initial feedback, and now we'd like to share our next plans. The changes are split into several stages. The first was adjustments to grips, magazines, muzzle devices, and buttstocks. We are currently gathering feedback and fixing minor bugs, such as those affecting some "Gunsmith" tasks. Next stages will include adjustments to the stats of barrels and handguards, aligning those with the new approach. We will also be addressing the base stats of weapons most significantly impacted by the changes. These primarily include 7.62x39 AK models, as well as platforms chambered for 7.62x51 and 7.62x54R. If necessary, we may also adjust the stats of other weapons, too. Another point of our plan is to revise the prices and unlock conditions for every attachment in the game to better align them with the new stat distribution. We'd also like to point out that we're taking into account your feedback regarding unsuppressed muzzle flash. We are considering improvements in this area as well.
