@Michael64557850 She was all out, he was just getting through his gears. She was also battle hardened 3rd up off 2 big runs. I would take him head to head next start to no end.

@G1Select Thought aeliana over raced first half of race so I think there was a lot more merit to her win

The racing from NZ today looks to be the best card I have seen for a for while. Stacked fields with some established horses, a few on the up and a possible superstar.

@DustinSpriggs4 @MitchG57351992 Again I am not going to judge I have owned a few that have suffered colic attacks, have one right now. And everything seems spot on, they seem fit but just cannot get back to a level. Safer bet would have been to retire her after. And then some would still jump down their throat.

I wouldn’t imagine Yulong would think that way. IMO 3x G1 winner as a filly into a massive win at first go at G1 WFA over unfavourable distance, a 3rd in an average Cox Plate isn’t a justification, particularly with how she’s come back. She got the run of the race trailing Light Infantry Man. If that’s what they’re hanging the hat on post Memsie then I reckon Waller would have a box cleared and ready to go

Pretty ordinary ASM again this year. I think set up looks perfect for Tom Kitten, just probably wanted $5.00 but I would have him on top. Think Sabaj can outrun its odds at $3.50 plc and that probably tells us what kind of race it is.

@MitchG57351992 @DustinSpriggs4 Hard to know what they were seeing at trackwork and then what she was producing under pressure at that time though. Leading up a Cox Plate for 2000m of the 2040m and collecting 500k might have justified their decision in their eyes though.

Rated prices Australian Guiineas $2.60 Sixties $3.10 Observer $7.60 Planet Red $19 West Of Swyndon $30 Victorious Spirit $35 Romantic Encounter $60 Onavuitton $70 Officiate $90 Bingi $150 Express Class Sixties has gone to another level this prep. His rating last time was good enough to win most AGs, and I expect he's improved further. The outside barrier is not ideal. He has led before over 1400m so they can go forward if they want to. Better than getting posted. Observer was good first up and will be stronger second up. No knock. I just think Sixties is a slightly better horse. I wouldn't be surprised if Sixties runs favourite. Let's not forget Planet Red. He can win but is maybe a level behind the other two. Disclaimer: These are raw rated prices framed to 100%. They are not accurate and may vary markedly from the market. Smart-arse or disrespectful comments will get you blocked.

Aus Guinea's 10U observer at $2.45 (lads). Whatever angle you use observer comes out on top. Ratings = observer. Speedmap = Observer. Observer profile fastly run 1400m to 1600m verse sixties slowly run 1600 staying at 1600m. And I think he's the best horse.

@AlanCRowland attracting a trade. I am looking to buy a price off a bookie that I see as valuable. Same as buying a house that you think you can see value in that the market underestimates. The prices bookies put up are not their true prices, they are the lowest price they think they can sell.

@AlanCRowland Had this argument many of time and rarely post rated markets, first comment is "let me on at that price" they don't realise that you are trying to "buy a price" not "sell a price" Bookies are looking at trying to sell a price at the least risk allowable while still 1/2

Have you noticed that hardly anyone posts true rated prices on X? And if they do they are very safe markets where they just make a few tweaks to the bookies markets. These aren't true rated prices at all. True rated prcies are worked out with no consideration of the bookies prices. There is a very good reason for this. Anyone that does is pilloried for doing so. Consider this. Say a tipster tips a $20 chance as his second pick. Nothing unusual. People just think he's gone for some value. Now to be a second pick that tipster must think the horse is something like a $5.00 chance. Fine. But if you post a set of rated prices and your second pick is rated a $5.00 chance ($20 with bookies) you come in for an amazing amount of ridicule. Think about it. Why is it any different from the tipster who doesn't nominate a price? Yet people treat the $5.00 rated price as outrageous. They think you are an idiot. Then if the horse loses (80% chance it will) they think "I knew he was an idiot!" So basically if you post true rated prices you are at a hiding to nothing. That's why nobody does it. Like I said earlier, if they do post supposedly 'rated prices', they are not. They just tweak the bookies prices so they don't look controversial or stupid. They figure if their prices are close to the bookies people will think they must be accurate. I'm sure that's true. Not that they are accurate, but they will be perceived as accurate. Anyway it's an interesting phenomenon. I'm sure a psychologist could explain it.

@Andyparackal @AusPoll6 Understood, but if it gets point that One Nation is polling +5 to Labor -5 and they get to a 35 to 30 lead in the popular vote. I am sure Labor itself would not look at it as just "noise". I doubt many would have expected ON to lead in outer Metro, seen usually as regional party.
