Investments in @Gavi are investments in a model that builds resilience rather than reliance. In my keynote speech at the #H20Summit hosted by the @G20Partnership, I highlighted why empowering and enabling countries to assume full responsibility for health programmes should be a guiding principle that all global health organisations adopt to ensure finite lifespans and effective exit strategies. This principle will inform Gavi’s next strategic period as we work to forge a consensus on the new architecture of global health that’s fit for the future.
