@Olly25Olly Yeah he should’ve been, then he fell 3 in 4 starts.
With the one he didn’t fall, he was way off it.
The one at the fighting fifth wasn’t a regular fall either let’s be honest, 2nd hurdle after that long off.
It’s Buckley’s horse, owes him nothing - why would he risk it now?

CH should have been competing for the champion hurdle at the fez. Instead he’s running in class 3 races Wednesday night at Kempton. It’s a curio - crowds are turning up cos it’s an unusual circumstance.

@G4Racing_ No need to get into insults, it’s a debate. Happy for you to watch it. For me it’s like when a 37 year old footballer turns up at a non league gaff. Can understand why people like it. For me I just think it’s a sad end to what could have been an all timer horse.

@Olly25Olly Agreed - but in this case if he had gone and raced in the champion hurdle, fell and then died then it doesn't look good whatsoever on Nicky or the sport. People would be saying hes fell 4 times, why was he raced etc...

@G4Racing_ I wouldn’t late any trainer if a horse died from a fall. It’s part of the risk of jumps racing.

@Olly25Olly I think it is entirely different in many cases, falling 3 out of your last 4 starts is concerning but falling 3 times over lets say 3 years is different. He's clearly not enjoying the jumps anymore, can guarantee as well you would be slating Nicky if he ended up dying from a fall

@G4Racing_ Yep, he should. I think it’s the beginning of the end for jumps if falling a number of times means you switch to flat. For me now he’s just become a “what if” tale. Glad people are enjoying him on the flat, but think it’s a damp squib ending

All this talk of “Constitution Hill won’t win a Group 1”, won’t win this class, that class etc. Why does that matter?.
Considering where this horse was before Christmas, I’m just delighted to see a horse winning well, enjoying his racing again.
