@AndrewTWalker A similar episode unfolded after our son was born — amniotic fluid left him choking and blue-skinned. Nurse strided into the room and had him breathing comfortably 45 seconds later. Now he's a 4-year-old treasure and we marvel at God blessing us with such a competent nurse.

One player that I believe Alabama should target in the transfer portal is Mercer big man and SoCon DPOTY Armani Mighty. The Canada native averaged 13.2 PPG, 10.6 RPG, and 1.7 BPG this past season. Mighty would provide an immediate boost at the five spot given his size (6’10”, 240 lbs.) and presence around the rim. With Alabama looking to add size and physicality in the front court, Mighty would make a lot of sense. His 7’3” wingspan allows him to block and alter shots at an elite level. In addition, Mighty is highly effective around the rim. He finished the season shooting 64.5% with all of his made shots coming inside the three-point line. What are your thoughts on this? 🤔

Three years ago, on a Tuesday in March, I was preparing with my youngest son to watch USA vs Japan in the final of the World Baseball Classic. We never watched the game. I was in the kitchen making coffee when a flurry of calls started coming in -- with the news that my middle son had been struck by a vehicle while he was working. Tears and desperate prayers followed as we waited for an update. Then the call from my oldest son an agonizing 45 minutes later with the choked words "he's gone"; then Pastor Redlin's calming voice that took the phone and said: "Matt. I'm with Joash. Jadon is with Jesus." Suddenly, baseball didn't matter; coffee didn't matter; nor any of the other things I enjoy in this life. At that time (and now), the only thing that mattered is Jesus Christ -- His saving work on the cross and his resurrection defeating sin and death -- and that my son IS SAFE in Him.
