@IntelisysCorp I went to college with Lyndon! His support was critical for helping me graduate. Can someone please forward my link to him and tell him Débo Prest says hello?

@DannerFoundati1 @justfara @murphy_raphael Homeless several times as a child and milk allergic. Mom used the Mac with canned tuna without the Cheese. Never got food that we didn't eat because we were lacking an ingredient. We made what we got work.

We made a lot of boxed mac and cheese (including and especially Krafts) and never added either butter or milk, just water and it came out fine. Never knew anyone that was poor that had milk or butter to put in macaroni and cheese…you considered yourself very fortunate if you had anything at all resembling cheese. We took on of those little pouches, added extra macaroni and made enough mac and cheese to feed a family of six with just adding water. Milk and butter????

So, I spoke to people getting food at a food bank and here are some things I learned from those in need: 1. Everyone donates Kraft Mac and Cheese in the box. They can rarely use it because it needs milk and butter which is hard to get from regular food banks. 2. Boxed milk is a treasure, as kids need it for cereal which they also get a lot of. 3. Everyone donates pasta sauce and spaghetti noodles. 4. They cannot eat all the awesome canned veggies and soup unless you put a can opener in too or buy pop tops. 5. Oil is a luxury but needed for Rice a-Roni which they also get a lot of. 6. Spices or salt and pepper would be a real Christmas gift. 7. Tea bags and coffee make them feel like you care. 8. Sugar and flour are treats. 9. They fawn over fresh produce donated by farmers and grocery stores. 10. Seeds are cool in Spring and Summer because growing can be easy for some. 11. They rarely get fresh meat. 12. Tuna and crackers make a good lunch. 13. Hamburger Helper goes nowhere without ground beef. 14. They get lots of peanut butter and jelly but usually not sandwich bread. 15. Butter or margarine is nice too. 16. Eggs are a real commodity. 17. Cake mix and frosting makes it possible to make a child’s birthday cake. 18. Dishwashing detergent is very expensive and is always appreciated. 19. Feminine hygiene products are a luxury and women will cry over that. 20. Everyone loves Stove Top Stuffing. In all the years I have donated food at the Holidays, I bought what I thought they wanted, but have never asked. I am glad I did. If you are helping a Family this Christmas, maybe this can help you tailor it more. It does for me!

I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING. 😂 “A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an Envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to 'Dad.' With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter. ‘Dear Dad: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Mom and you. I have been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercing, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am. But it's not only the passion... …Dad she's pregnant. Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children. Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy. In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it. Don't worry Dad. I'm 15 and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure that we will be back to visit so that you can get to know your grandchildren. Love, Your Son John… PS. Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at Tommy's house. I Just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than a Report card that's in my center desk drawer. I love you. Call me when it's safe to come home.”

Because I'm blind, an airline is saying I have to sit alone. We booked side-by-side seats. But when they found out I'm blind, they separated us. They're claiming it's their policy 1/7 #RightsOnFlights

@DrJenGunter @drquinngyn I agree. Now, for the lay community - explain the current guidelines, the FDA approved medications, how each approach is individual (not prescribing HRT to a patient with a Mom and two sisters with breast cancer), the restrictions, etc. Tag!

@kerionmywayward Nope! The skort was invented for us girls with big asses that made short skirts ride up (and show too much). Unnecessary if your ass is flat (no hate) and necessary for K-POP dances🤪

@tressiemcphd The bonnet conversation always turns nasty. There isn't a justification for a no bonnet policy at a doctor's office. What part of the hippocratic oath is that? twitter.com/Fly_Sistah/sta…
Fly Sistah 🪷@Fly_Sistah

@Kyla_Lacey An OB/GYN has a no bonnet policy making it clear they don't want Black patients. Even if you never wear a bonnet outside of your house, that sign at a hospital is anti-Black & indicates to me that Black people get subpar treatment. Denying medical care over a dress code.
