Ventura County or Vegas friends: we need help! We just housed a homeless vet and his 15-year-old son, but we can't get their two tuxedo cats - a brother and sister - housed for 3 months. The cats are in Vegas, the vet and his son here. Can you help? Please spread the word.

Please consider our veterans when making your Independence Day plans. Unpredictable fireworks in neighborhoods are much harder than planned events that can be avoided. Fireworks can trigger PTSD. Be considerate of veterans, and be safe - don't set off your own fireworks.
