🌞What a beautiful day to visit one of the north’s top visitor attractions. Economy Minister Dr @CArchibald_SF has visited @GCausewayNT and met with Heather McLachlan, Country Director for @NationalTrustNI to discuss their plans for a refurbished visitor centre and tourism issues across the wider North Coast. The Minister said: “This World Heritage Site continues to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. It is an incredible asset to our tourism offering. I was very interested to hear more from the National Trust on its plans to enhance its visitor experience and continue to accommodate the many people who wish to visit this fabulous site.”

Police are appealing to Lester or anyone who may have seen him on 1st or 2nd November to contact them in Coleraine on 101, quoting reference number 76 02/11/24. Anyone with any information is urged to contact police as soon as possible.

Lester is a white male, 6’3” tall, of slim build with light brown hair and was wearing black glasses, light beige trousers with a dark belt, walking boots, a long grey coat to below the knee and a dark zip up jacket. Lester was also carrying a black backpack.

URGENT APPEAL FOR INFORMATION @PSNICCGDistrict are appealing for the visitors who found a black backpack at the Giant’s Causeway on Saturday afternoon to come forward. The backpack was handed in by two males to the audio guide desk at the rear of the Visitor Centre.

Economy Minister @conormurphysf has visited @GCausewayNT, one of the north’s most visited tourist attractions, having welcomed nearly 6 million visitors since 2012. The Minister met with Heather McLachlan, Country Director for @NationalTrustNI and some of the operational team. They discussed opportunities for the Giant’s Causeway to play a key role in developing linkages between the Wild Atlantic Way and the Causeway Coastal Route and the steps the National Trust is taking to embed sustainability at the heart of its operations. The Minister also met little ‘Jimmy’ @GCausewayNT, which is fully dog friendly both inside and out, with dogs on leads welcome in all areas of the Visitor Centre, including the café and on guided tours!
