Fucking hell @premierleague; gonna be mental when deduct Chelsea the exact 48 points they have, as per your OWN rules of Overspend to Points Deduction that you enforced on @Everton, @NFFC, @LCFC... ...let's see if you've got the bollocks, you fucking corrupt cunts!

@AllForUnitedWFC Amazing achievement from the players in spite of the manager, coaches and owners. loved the CL nights, especially at LSV. Shame we won’t get to see Ona again and Bonmati at OT.

@charlotteharpur Awujo had been running on empty for 10 mins before he took her off. Her lack of energy is a massive issue. ultimately utd are knackered and lacking in quality - but have £500k in the bank… someone make it make sense!

Have to feel for #MUWFC. Players put up a hell of a fight. Spirit of such a tight-knit group has always been their greatest strength but hard to maintain intensity with such a thin squad. Intrigued to hear why Skinner took off Awujo.💲not a silver bullet but boy would it help.

@henrywinter no excuse in not involving Welbeck in this squad - top English scorer in PL - an actual forward and able deputy for Kane. irrelevant at the moment what comes after.

30 years ago, Terry Venables could leave out Ian Wright for Euro 96 because he had Alan Shearer, Teddy Sheringham, Les Ferdinand and Robbie Fowler at centre-forward. Elite options at No 9 now? Basically, Harry Kane. Ollie Watkins, Dominic Solanke, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Danny Welbeck are below Kane’s level. Liam Delap needs to get the upward trajectory of his career back on track again. A “minor issue” benching/resting Kane will always be a major problem for England. FA coaches at St George’s Park debate why there are so few 9s emerging. Focus on 10s and wide attackers in academies, more teams playing only one centre-forward in a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 and cage styles leading to “ballers” not poachers are all reasons discussed. Line-leading skills, back-to-goal expertise, finishing prowess need re-developing. Because Kane is 32 and succession planning is required. #ENG

#MUWomen In every position, it's been a mess. GOALKEEPERS: Earps played every game, then she left. Bring in Phallon, played every game again. Brought in Rendell, unused. Played Safa against Wolfsburg, she was terrible. CENTER BACKS: Maya and Turner played every game, Turner got injured. Brought in Jansen CB, played her as a DM . Brought in Rabjohn, didn't use her, she left. United only has two center backs. FULLBACKS: Blundel played every game, got pregnant, and then was sacked. Used Galton, it didn't work. Brought in Samberg LB again, played every game, got injured, no replacement. Simpson LB was loaned out. Brought in George LB , got injured, never used again. Brought in Riviere RB, played every game, got injured. Brought in Hanna RB, played her LB with rievieri RB . The pattern repeats itself: they play every game until they get injured, and there's no replacement. MIDFIELD via rose DM, he got rid of her, brought in Guerrero DM, CM, never used her, she left. He brought in Miyazawa CAM, CM, 2023 World Cup top scorer, put her at DM. Clinton CAM, CM, loan, brought her in, swapped her for Park RW, CM, CAM, Toone plays every game, got injured. He put Jansen CB as DM, it didn't work. Naslund plays every game, she's terrible. He brought in Zigliotii, she plays every game. None of them have a replacement. ATTACKERS He brought in Geyse for 300,000 euros, a player with dribbling skills. There's no other like her at United, he got rid of her. Galton played every game. She got injured, bye. Russo played every game. She left. He brought in Terland, she plays every game, then he takes her out without explanation. He brought in Schuller (9), doesn't use her, and swaps her to RW. He brought in Rolfo (LW), doesn't use her often, and plays her at LB. The worst part is he brought in Ellen, a young player who was a 9, but now plays her at RW and LW, and she's terrible. He had Lucia Garcia, but she left. It's a constant pattern of terrible player management. Skinner then complains that they don't bring in players ist a LIE . The truth is they bring in players, spend money, not much, and he manages the players very badly and their injuries from playing every game. Skinner only uses 14 players. #skinnerout SACKED

@SubToTWFC they should let him go - IMO he’s done as much as he can. The team need fresh investment and fresh direction. He’s done a reasonable job over the 5 years, but fresh leadership is needed

According to @centredevils , Marc Skinner is under serious review by the Manchester United officials. The club is said to be unhappy with recent performances, as UWCL is seen as a crucial objective for next season.

@SullyTalkz @centredevils he’s had his day - they should thank him for taking the club forward and recognise that they need a proven winner to take them to the next level…. who that is will be the tough one to sort. And are they really up to big decisions and hard work - or just more of the easy life…

@AllForUnitedWFC Injuries are clearly a factor at the moment but ultimately Skinner has taken this team as far as he can. No shame in a cup win, final performances and getting to CL. Players have moved on, Johnson etc now need to move him on. Fresh ideas and impetus are needed.

@ManUtdWomen City have shown us what to do - get rid of a bad manager and bringing in someone to organise and define a style and reinvigorate a side - playing the right players at the right time. Skinners done - he talks to save himself, no more than that.

6 goals conceded at Old Trafford in back to back games, let’s not bother next season and come back when we have a proper coaching team. Skinner and his band of mediocre men need to all be binned off asap.

A break in play and only Malard has been over to where the coaches are, think Skinner has given up on even pretending to coach this team.

@KathrynBatte City deserved win today, they’re not exceptional but were functional, well organised and competent. United were a mess - badly set up and sloppy. a lot of tired performances. Some performances were not acceptable though - Turner, Naalsund and Schuler awful. Time for a new manager

Manchester City have beaten Manchester United 3-0 in the two WSL fixtures this season. Just two shots on target for United across those two fixtures. They both came after a midweek Champions League game and United have several injuries currently, but that is not good enough.

@TomJGarry classic women against girls. i get we’ve got injuries but Skinners set up plays right into city’s hands - awful manager and some really, really poor performances. Needs 352 for the second half to stop it becoming a cricket score. dismal.

The body language from most of the Manchester United players right now is awful. These two sides have looked leagues apart in the first half. #MUwomen #BarclaysWSL

@megan_feringa @TheAthleticFC Shame we can’t see our best 11 in this competition to see what they could do. Squad depth a big problem. Toone is a huge miss, as were our3 missing defenders- Jayde’s cameo by the by. Skinner again too slow with substitutions- fresh ideas needed

Past versions of this team crumble after 98 seconds of Pernille Harder. Twice they came back. The tie still lives. But how you view it depends on your vision of Man Utd Women: a still resilient underdog or a club still consenting to margins. @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/71479…

@AllForUnitedWFC we’re really missing the football intelligence of Ella Toone - Hini has it, prob Rolfo, not sure anyone else is at their level, starting games without first choice full backs and Dom leaves us susceptible against anyone, let alone uwcl level. half dreading Saturday!
