As weird as it sounds, I get the impression there is more hype behind SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY over DOOMSDAY. Casting announcements were cool, but they're going to have to be extremely compelling to sell a GA on yet another Multiverse event film recycling the used-up tricks.

A guy I used to work with hit me up last night. Dude was making $260k in tech. Nice house, $4,700/month mortgage, two cars, vacations every few months. Got laid off 7 months ago. Still nothing. Said he’s down to $22k and burning $5,500 a month. Wife at home, one kid. He told me he checks his bank app before he even gets out of bed now. This is someone I saw winning in real life. Save your money. Because when it flips, it flips fast.

@GE3kyBoy @rushicrypto No DoorDash, no fancy clothes, etc etc. Then I would say our income scaled over time and our expenses didn’t. We invest all our excess and the market has been good over the last 10 years. I would also say we made some savvy moves like buying a house in 2019 and refinancing 2x

@rushicrypto $4700 a month mortgage on $260k is a no go. That’s probably close to 40% of take home income. Couple that with cars and vacations and he’s living above his means. I have saved $1.7M at 34. If me and my wife both lose our jobs, we’re good for years

It's not stupid at all. It's in a high yield savings account. Her money can't be tied up in investments, because she will need it to help pay for her last 2 years of college. She will graduate with zero student loans, and probably still have a decent amount left over. Then she will be able to start investing.

My brother just turned 26. $57k salary, still living at home, $7.5k in savings, and $19k left on the car loan. He keeps saying he feels behind. Is he?

@Tekeee Yes. My 21 year old daughter took a year off of college to work after she got her AA degree, and she is starting back in the fall with 40k saved. Although, she already had 12k saved from part-time jobs when she was in school.
