Black and Asian bereaved parents whose baby died before, during or shortly after birth have been sharing their experiences with us. The 56 parents who took part shone a light on care that works well, while also highlighting barriers, biases, and poor care. Minor gripe. Calling women “late bookers” who actually had a full schedule of antenatal care in another country. They didn’t book late, they changed providers. There’s connotations embedded there that I don’t like.

@makesmilk Thank you for this, I'm breastfeeding an 11 month old and it's so important for me to hear that I too matter in the breastfeeding relationship! To often it's just about the baby, but I also get to choose if and when I feed and when I need some bodily boundaries.
