I am teaching a business of the Super Bowl class this semester at my alma mater @SyracuseU in its @SUSportMgmt Falk College. I had an impressive lineup of Syracuse grad guest speakers yesterday: Ian Eagle and @NoahEagle15 followed by the legendary Bob Costas. Those were some pretty fortunate students.

David Chase was a fan of Toni Kalem from 1979's "The Wanderers" and asked her to read for the part of Carmela Soprano. She eventually lost out to Edie Falco but came back next season as Angie Bonpensiero.

This is the 1st scene Toni Kalem filmed for The Sopranos. She ended up getting injured when Sal pulled her neck back (accidentally). The scream is real. Toni finished the scene and then sought her chiropractor's assistance.

During the filming of Gladiator, actor Oliver Reed, who played Proximo, died in a bar after challenging a group of sailors to a drinking contest.
Reed reportedly consumed eight pints of beer, 12 shots of rum, half a bottle of whisky, and several shots of cognac.
This photo of him on set was taken shortly before his death. He went out like a true gladiator.
