I just know you would be complaining if Haugh stayed with the shooter in the corner, Condon in the lane and 3 other players chasing down the ball handler who pulls up and hits a 3. Can't assume because the lane is open for a layup, he takes it.

THREAD: (LONG POST HERE) Let's go through math of Florida's idea to press/foul last night up 2. The idea...foul ball handler and two things 95% happen: 1) He makes 2, you get the ball back with a shot to win it, or go OT 2) He makes 1 FT, you likely get rebound and win. So here's the #'s.. Assuming avg: 77% FT shooter: 59.29%: He makes 2, Florida ball 32.59%: Florida up 1, Florida ball 17.71% from miss first / make second 14.88% from make first / miss second / Florida rebound 4.44%: Florida up 2, Florida ball 2.83%: Florida up 1, opponent gets offensive rebound 0.85%: Florida up 2, opponent gets offensive rebound The problem...if you miss the foul, which happened...there is a chance chaos ensues. So if you foul....65% shot you win the game. If you don't foul and sell out defending a 3, 85% shot you win the game. So the numbers just didn't make much sense.

@ppuccia1 @PeterBurnsESPN @InsideTheGators You are taught to stop ball 1st. Natural reaction to go after ball handler. Haugh is not to blame whatsoever. Boogie getting beat initially and Lee not sagging or applying pressure off the screen also hurt. Essentially a fast break coming at you. 2 on 1. Tough situation to be in.

This is so egregious on so many levels. Also add in the fact that some fans blame Haugh. Wild.

Not saying I'm a genius, but the signs were there early on. I think most people knew it could hapoen.
