A bit of share. Got my lab results from ECU. Although no doctor’s interpretation yet, I see all figures are well within range. Good job to me.

I used to be dismissive of the thought of having a firm and a physical office of my own when I was new to the profession. But a humble request to practice law outside of my regular employment and a chance to teach in law school were the perfect combination that led me to where we are now today.

The Philippines is the first country to declare a national state of emergency over the global energy crisis. Philippine Foreign Secretary @SecLazaro says they have 40-45 days of petroleum supply left. It’s “already taking a toll on the ordinary Filipino,” with “cascading effects”

A point I didn’t realize, with LPG supplies down to 20+ days, how could most of our restaurants survive? Lockdown habits of relying on GrabFood will also be curtailed.

The Philippines is in crisis along with the rest of the world because President Trump’s brinkmanship did not work. In fact, it has boomeranged. He should be held to account by the whole world, including his own country, the USA.

Thailand Continues to Face Widespread Diesel Shortages; Long Queues Across Multiple Provinces Localized diesel shortages are causing long lines and disruptions in several provinces across Thailand, affecting both residents and freight transport. In Phrae, stations in Long District have run out of diesel, leaving drivers stranded while awaiting deliveries. Limited gasoline remains available, but the shortage is spreading, with some pumps temporarily closing. In Chainat, residents lined up from 5 a.m. to secure diesel at a Shell station near the Chao Phraya Dam. Farmers brought motorcycles, pickups, and jerrycans to fuel vehicles for transporting goods and pumping water for crops. The station received 3,000 liters, which ran out in just 1.5 hours. In Nakhon Ratchasima, pickups, trucks, and 10-wheelers queued at stations in Siw and Buayai districts. Some stations allowed residents to fill jerrycans, but diesel remains insufficient for demand. Staff handed out candies to waiting customers to ease frustration. In Krabi, queues formed at multiple stations, with 8,000 liters delivered at a time but exhausted within hours. Main routes saw lighter traffic than usual during the Hari Raya holiday due to the shortage. Local authorities are updating residents via social media on station statuses and fuel availability. This shortage has been ongoing since last week, causing mounting difficulties for commuters, farmers, and freight operators who rely on diesel for daily operations. Government Response: Authorities have assured the public that Thailand’s overall fuel reserves are sufficient to cover roughly three months of demand. Officials say that the shortage at pumps is mainly due to transportation and distribution delays, not a fundamental lack of fuel. The government is taking measures to boost crude oil stockpiles, secure alternative sources, and increase the use of biodiesel to ease pressure on diesel supply. Price controls and other regulatory steps are being considered to support logistics, agriculture, and essential services. Business groups, including transport operators, have urged the government to cap diesel prices and reduce taxes to relieve rising costs. Emergency coordination is ongoing to keep critical services such as ambulances and agricultural operations running smoothly. #Thailand #Diesel #Oil #น้ำมัน #น้ำมันดีเซล #วิกฤตน้ำมัน #สงครามอิหร่าน

From restarting decommissioned nuclear power plants to declaring a national holiday every week, different Asian countries implement various measures to stabilize or save oil and energy resources. Together, these moves reveal how rising fuel pressures due to the tensions in Western Asia (Middle East) are forcing governments to rethink energy use, public services, and everyday routines.

Laos has ordered schools nationwide to cut in-person classes from five to three days a week, as part of emergency measures aimed at easing financial pressure on families amid continued fuel price volatility. According to Xinhua News Agency, under the order, all general education institutions, both public and private, must reduce classroom teaching to three days per week.
