The CinemaCon teaser for Takashi Yamazaki's upcoming Hollywood debut ‘Grandgear’ (2028) has been described as looking 'Cloverfield-like' with ground-level footage of a giant mech battling a monster.
The film is being produced by J. J. Abrams, who created the Cloverfield franchise.

@Exalted_Speed On the one hand, the American VA industry is very cliquish. With a lot of roles going to a handful “professionals”. I think some of the people were true believers, but I think for a lot of them they were aspiring VAs trying to clear out some of the established competition.

I think when looking at this it’s worth noting this he is a comedian first so I imagine this idea started as a bit and it’s 2017 so social conscious has to be a thing and it kind of spun into this weird thing where he didn’t really look into other works or gray areas.

Obviously, he's right. Opinionated fans can't do anything but consume or not consume, but for commercial products, especially ones as competitive and ruthless as a serialized weekly manga, readers not reading it, not voting for it, and not buying tankobans can derail/end careers.

I’ve seen all over my feed that there is drama involving The Quartering. I’ve been simultaneously too busy & too uninterested to follow it, but I’ve seen some pretty outlandish claims about him.

The failure of the 2017 Power Rangers movie will never not hurt and it seemed like it had everything going for it.
- A favorable release date with Fate of the Furious not releasing until 3 weeks later.
- A very reasonable 100 million dollar budget
- Good trailers and a good marketing strategy
- A cool update for modern audiences and the new generation.
Yet when the movie released, almost no one was interested; not even the toy line sold well.
I’ll never understand why.
