@BickleKun @jpalmiotti @ComicBookSchool The DVD versions you're referring to were scanned renderings, so the ads were part of the files. Our modernized collections are straight from MARVELS legacy files at 300dpi so you get stunning visual quality and this time there aren't any ads. Personally I thought it was neat.

@jpalmiotti @ComicBookSchool @GITDigitalComic yeah 20 years ago they were offering it on DVD ROM everything up through the previous year for basically all the major books. Because they were put out by a small company, they didn't bother to remove all of the ads and the letters pages and everything else like these do

@jpalmiotti @ComicBookSchool @GITDigitalComic Remember the panic that CD Roms might replace physical comics. The convenience for flights and hiding your collection from your partner with digital stuff is really good but I love the physical stuff too much. It’s how I’m wired I guess.

@phadetheplex @jpalmiotti @ComicBookSchool GIT here. Our collections have some crossovers but only what MARVEL has associated within their legacy volumes for each Title. For example our ASM collection spanning over 1,000 issues does include some Civil War events.

@jpalmiotti @ComicBookSchool @GITDigitalComic I had I think the older versions from the same company, on CD at a point where I was moving around a lot and loved them.The only caveat is that it doesn’t include crossovers but at, what, less than a dime an issue? Minor quibble.
