Really cool thing that happened today. To set this up, my mom has been working behind the scenes (emails, calls, back-and-forths) to make this happen. (My dad’s birthday is coming up on 4/12). She just sent this in our family group text thread:
From my mom:
“About a month ago, I dropped Harold’s helmet off for Josh Brooks to get Kirby’s signature for his birthday. Got a last-minute call—from an AD who has been traveling 8 of the last 11 days—saying, ‘If you want to see Josh, you better come now!’ Couldn’t be a nicer guy. For you kids who remember the beginning of the helmet, 30 years ago with Coach Donnan and AD Vince Dooley, here we are again!
The only coach who hasn’t signed it now is Ray Goff. The story continues, as Josh said he will get it to Ray Goff’s wife for signing!

Never forget where I was for this. Sophomore at Ga Southern. I skipped all my classes for the day and a buddy of mine who lived in my apartment complex decided to grill out and watch the game.
Heyward hit this and I remember opening the apartment door and yelling down the breezeway with excitement, probably annoying some people and scaring some of them to death, ha.
It was an incredible moment.

The Hawks have won 14 of the last 15 games after an overtime victory in Detroit tonight. Atlanta blew a 21-point lead but managed to pull it out with a defensive stop at the end of OT. 27-12-8 for Jalen Johnson. 27 for CJ McCollum. Full breakdown coming on @LockedOnHawks.
