⚽ It's the final week of the GLOBE Cup Challenge! There's still time to join your regional team and submit a land cover, air temperature, or surface temperature observation where people play soccer (football). Submit your observations by the 19th of July and help us discover how playing environments differ across regions, climates, and surfaces. As a thank you for participating, everyone who joins their regional team and submits at least one observation will receive a GLOBE Cup Challenge certificate at the end of the challenge. New #GLOBEResearch! 📃Title: The Role of Citizen Science in Mosquito-Borne Disease Surveillance and Control: A Scoping Review 👥Authors: Nima Kianfar, Kimia Savoji, Xiao Huang, Di Yang, Abe Mollalo This study analyzed the use of citizen science in addressing gaps in existing coverage provided by mosquito-borne diseases (MDBs) surveillance systems. Examining citizen science applications like GLOBE Observer in MBDs surveillance and control, the study found that citizen science can enhance mosquito surveillance, particularly for monitoring invasive species and spatio-temporal trends. 🌐Read it here: tinyurl.com/2mpx75rn
