there's this ad for marathon on twitch that has a kinda neuro garage-y sounding track in it and I'm trying to find it/who produced it. does anyone know what I'm talking about at all? I don't care about the game but I kinda wanna hear the full track

@_kaos7 If you like it, I would recommend a lot of skope and audeka stuff. it's not exactly the same as either, but I think audeka has a certain degree of the rawness that this has. skope has a lot of tracks similar in form, like divided, wanderer, or wanted.

@RamonPang there are other artists who this applies for, maybe even more, but he has the most cases for selling me on something I didn't think I liked.

@RamonPang I'm generally an album listener type of guy unless I'm searching for new tracks. But any mix current value does has so much value to me because it recontextualizes so many dnb tracks I otherwise wouldn't be that into.

srs DJ question - what compels yall to listen to an online mix nowadays (audio only, no video) now ? Is it a recognizability w the DJs name? the possibility of finding new trax? just something to toss on like radio? prep for if u want to see them dj live? genuinely curious.

@badnarrator_ I mean it is what makes dimension expander work, but in theory you can make any effect work that way if you just take all the mono out, so you can find something more interesting

@badnarrator_ Legit one of the best ways to add stereo if you’re already happy w the mono. You can just use any stereo effect in parallel and it won’t mess w anything at all

@qonundrai I think "we are charlie kirk" is the closest, but nobody thought it was actually good as music

@qonundrai I think we're already dangerously close to the point that just sonic quality from a quantitative standpoint isn't indicative of whether something was human made or not now. we are far from any AI generated hits with cultural relevance though.

basically no ai generated art has any actual cultural relevance so if you ignore it you probably are doing better than by dunking on it

@acey_music @sdjdjsjkd This actually got used a bit, but it never caught on. A lot of early audeka, skope, koan, culprate ect stuff was labeled that way. Not by the artists but by people online. It just failed to catch on as a term
