A brilliant, passionate, “furious”Polanski slams Labour’s immigration policy: ‘No one voted for this’ ‘The problem is inequality not immigration’ ‘Labour has gone after the disabled, pensioners and now those fleeing war zones’ ‘This is a government of cowards’ Zack is spot on.

Proud of @carla_denyer for standing up to this hateful policy. We recognise the humanity in everyone regardless of the luck of the draw as to where they were born. I ask Labour MPs is this what you signed up for? Freezing grannies, starving children, supporting genocide now scapegoating asylum seekers?
The Green Party@TheGreenParty

“It isn’t people seeking sanctuary who are tearing our country apart. It’s toxic, racist narratives and the scapegoating of migrants for crises they did not cause.” Carla Denyer challenges the Home Secretary's new immigration reforms saying they just fuel far-right narratives.

Labour MP's should hang their heads in shame. They just voted to allow the prosecution of our brave Northern Ireland veterans. Soldiers defended us. We should be defending them. Why would anyone serve our country if this is how they are treated?

Couldn’t believe how easy it was to spot British brands in Barcelona supermarkets last week! From tea to biscuits, it felt like a little taste of home in one of our biggest export markets 🇬🇧🤝🇪🇸

After a year of sucking up, the PM can’t even get Donald Trump on the phone as he tries to destroy one of our most important institutions, the BBC. Was the state visit really worth this?

Nigel Farage's Reform is stuffed full of former Tories - the party who broke the asylum system. Labour is fixing the Tories' mess and bringing order to our borders.

A tiny 2% tax on wealth above £10m, is a drop in the ocean for just 20k Brits - but would raise £24Bn with which we could do so much. Rachel Reeves needs to be brave, understand the people want this - even millionaires want this and there’s nothing to fear. If we think there is let’s change our tax rules and make them like the USA - citizens pay tax back home wherever in the world they choose to live. Problem solved.

The BBC isn’t just about its board and national decisions, it’s part of our daily lives from local news to sports coverage. It is a powerhouse for creative industries across the country. Change is needed. But its dedicated workforce is different to its leadership. @bectu

Let me make it clear: refugees are welcome here. Using an army camp isn't the way to do it, and the dysfunctional Home Office must do better than their total lack of communication with local communities.

10y gilt dipped below 4.4% for first time in 2025… The 2 & 5 year gilt - both now been below 4% for a month, actually below level when Labour came to power… this is filtering through to 2y & 5y fixed mortgage rates… driven by higher expectation of rate cuts given weaker jobs number, but also world away from summer headlines re IMF/ bankruptcy.

We had the fastest-growing economy in the G7 in the first half of the year, but there's more to do to build an economy that works for working people. At the Budget I'll take the fair choices to cut waiting lists, cut national debt and cut the cost of living.

@JohnSimpsonNews The BBC is just shoddy all round. They were captured by woke and crafted political messaging to suit the political leanings of staff. In doing that they eschewed impartiality. They broke the charter. They lost trust and respect. The BBC is no longer fit for purpose.

My own purely personal view of the BBC’s Panorama problem is that it should apologise to Pres. Trump frankly and wholeheartedly for a shoddy bit of journalism, but that since it wasn’t shown in the US and had zero effect on his election, the BBC shouldn’t pay him a single penny.
