Legendary investor? 🤣 Idk, but he is the worst ceo of any pubco in the pm sector (see jerritt canyon and all of $AG performance PER SHARE across any time frame you choose. He's also a terrible manager, abusing his senior staff. How many VP-IR or IR Directors in the past 5 years? Those don't get press releases. Can the worst ceo be a good investor? Highly unlikely as good CEOs must excel at capital allocation and M&A.

@IvanhoeMines_ Platreef Mine’s #nickel sulphide resource is one of the largest nickel sulphide systems in the world at ~5.5 million tonnes of contained nickel. There is more contained nickel in sulphide at Platreef than there is remaining in Canada’s entire Sudbury Basin. That is in addition to ~150 million ounces of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold and ~2.8 million tonnes of contained copper in Mineral Resources. The GODZILLA Platreef Mine is ramping up to be a significant producer of platinum, palladium, nickel, rhodium, gold and copper. The Phase 2 expansion of the mine is underway and will be complete by the end of next year. We have already started work on the Platreef Mine’s Phase 3 expansion, which will take annualized production to over 1 million ounces of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold, plus ~40,000 tonnes of nickel and copper. The Platreef Mine will be world’s largest mine of its kind for the next 100 years.

Data centers are already here, and they’re here to stay. They’re only going to get bigger, use vastly more power, and require millions of tonnes of copper at a scale we simply do not have the capacity to mine yet… We looked at one Microsoft baby data center and found that it used 2,177 tonnes of copper. This was just one tiny data center. No one has found as much copper as the Ivanhoe group, but we cannot rest on our laurels. We must keep discovering new deposits, building new mines and producing more copper if we can hope to keep GDP growth at 2% and build a better world for our children and grandchildren… Our gratitude, as always, to @BMOmetalsmining in its 35th edition for providing a tier one platform to discuss what’s really needed.
