@AVG_PX @9trevv @MNPDNashville He assaulted me when he stole that hat as anything on my body is considered part of my person. He admitted to carrying a weapon while he assaulted and robbed me. Making it aggravated robbery and battery.

I’m just now sitting down after a fantastically full Mother’s Day with the kids. The same kids the MAGA shidiot incel trolls routinely insist I’ve somehow had “taken away” from me despite the inconvenient for them reality that they are with me pretty much constantly. open.substack.com/pub/jojofromje…

Free speech is free speech — you don't get to pick and choose. If you are mad about Trump's efforts to muzzle Jimmy Kimmel, you should be equally angry about his efforts to punish students who speak out against U.S. complicity in the horrors in Gaza. nytimes.com/2026/05/08/nyr…

Like a lot of people, I have my strong criticisms of Netanyahu. But one important metric of a man is how he treats his employees. Netanyahu flies to the White House 7 times a year to visit his, and now he's sitting down with more of them on Israeli State TV. Credit where due.

Sunday on 60 Minutes: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks with CBS News' Major Garrett about the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, prospects for a peace deal, and what he told President Trump in the Situation Room prior to the president’s decision to strike Iran.

@katealva @Catholic_bro Well, I am not a troll. However the bible was not written by or for human beings. Have you heard that there were 3 Jesus Christ characters?. You are closed minded.

@Catholic_bro Just wow. The assumptions, pun intended, by the Catholic dude are far reaching. Mary was never and important figure in Jesus' biblical life. The church ignored her for 1850 years.

@ConceptualJames You are the iron law of woke projection. And it’s getting funny how much you have to twist in a knot to try to pretend otherwise. Just lay out the ways the two situations are merely superficially similar and not nearly identical all the way down?

Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adam’s former wife Shelly Miles, who was his caretaker up to the end, just died suddenly of a heart attack at 57. Some wonder if they both didn’t get the bad batch. :(

The worst casting choice in The Odyssey is not the trannie or Anne Hathaway or Theron or the race swapped Helen of Troy. It's casting Matt Damon, 5 foot 3 dweeb, as Odysseus. Ben Affleck would be 10000x better!

Tucker Carlson attended St. George’s as a teenager and met his future wife there. Her father, Rev. George Andrews, was the headmaster in the 1980s while the choir director was actively abusing students. When Andrews found out, he fired the man but never once picked up the phone to call the police. On advice from the school’s lawyer, he stayed quiet. He let the school’s dean of students send a positive job reference along with the abuser to his next position. When Andrews announced the departure to students, he didn’t say the man was fired for abusing children. He said the choir director had resigned, and that the school would “feel his separation deeply.” Andrews left St. George’s shortly after. He didn’t exactly suffer for it. He landed a headmaster position at another Episcopal school in Florida, where he stayed for nearly two decades. Then he set up a consulting firm placing chaplains at private schools, the exact kind of institutions where his silence had already allowed one abuser to land safely. He was, in other words, rewarded with more access to more schools. His daughter later sat on St. George’s board of trustees when the whole scandal broke publicly in 2016. Tucker Carlson’s entire public identity is built on one argument: that elites protect their own. That wealthy, connected institutions cover up crimes, silence victims, shuffle predators around, and face zero consequences because they have the money and the lawyers to make problems disappear. He has said this about Jeffrey Epstein’s network, about Washington insiders, about anyone he can point a camera at. That is a precise and accurate description of what happened at St. George’s School. The institution protected its reputation over its students. Victims were silenced. It took decades for any of it to come out. Tucker’s father-in-law ran that institution during those years. His wife sat on its board when victims finally went public. And Tucker, the man who has built a media empire on demanding that powerful people answer for exactly this kind of thing, has looked at the scandal sitting inside his own family and decided it doesn’t warrant a single comment. Again, giant hypocrite.

@DefiyantlyFree Tucker was reportedly born May 16. His horoscope has the sign of Cancer on the Ascendant, representing how people see him (as an empathic person). This cardinal sign lends a certain distance from others, an ability to focus on oneself while appearing to care. It fits. Book lip.

My problem with @mtracey is that his instincts are right, but he’s often too much of a literalist/autist and won’t close the loop on his own argument to help e.g., Matt see his point (even if he wouldn’t agree) and/or won’t see (or point out) that while his point is correct, the problem really is power vested in the government that breeds corruption and abuse, if it doesn’t outright demand it.

@YeahOkayBoss @EoinHiggins_ @mtaibbi There probably is no law against it, or if there is it is only the sort of deepest bureaucratic regulatory punishment designed only to be tapped by the regime against anyone who tries to use the power of government to crack down on actual abuse.

@mtaibbi Unpopular take, I thought @mtracey pushing on Matt to identify the actual crimes in the Russiagate scandal was thought provoking. Matt really didn’t have receipts and was defensive/butthurt over it. Fascinating if this nukes the relationship and show.
