I was removed as head boy and suspended for staging a protest against my principal's hair policy. New principal came in. Deeper Life woman. Made low cut mandatory for every student. No other style allowed. I didn't accept it. Convinced my classmates to resist. Next day we bought cardboard, wrote everything we felt and pasted it across every wall in the school. After school hours we took permanent markers into every classroom and wrote on the whiteboards. Principal came in the next morning. Investigated. They knew it was me immediately. Head boy position, GONE. One week suspension. I sat at home that week feeling like a revolutionary. I was just a stubborn student with a marker. 😂 The week I returned, the whole class was hailing me, I felt like a King. 😂
