🚨🚨 Allegheny County Council is set to vote on Ordinance 13809-26 this Tuesday. This ordinance would prohibit county employees—including police officers—from cooperating or assisting federal immigration enforcement agencies like ICE and CBP, such as honoring immigration detainer requests, sharing resources or data for immigration purposes, or participating in enforcement operations. Importantly, an ICE detainer is due process via an immigration judge. This measure would effectively establish a sanctuary-style policy at the county level, blocking local resources from supporting federal immigration enforcement. Worse, Allegheny County Council now appears poised to penalize whistleblowers! The proposed ordinance would punish county employees who report violations or cooperate in good faith with ICE-related inquiries or matters—turning honest public servants into targets simply for doing the right thing and upholding the law.

No.

Without mass transit funding, our entire state economy will feel the impact of working, shipping, and transportation delays, effecting commutes and jamming up traffic for hours. This is avoidable if Senate Republicans return to Harrisburg and do the job they were elected to do: pass a state budget and fund essential services like mass transit.
