One year in, I’m still an optimist. Because I’ve seen what’s possible when we work together-taking on deadly drugs, protecting kids, standing up for seniors, and building safer communities in every corner of the Commonwealth and everywhere in between.

PA House Democrats are playing a dangerous game with public safety in allowing today's deadline to expire without a vote on the language in SB1400. I thank each member of the @PAHouseGOP for being united in their support of victims and public safety by voting against yesterday’s short-sighted and anti-victim legislation.

In Johnstown this week, I sat down with local partners who share one goal: safer communities. I’ve said it across the Commonwealth and I’ll keep saying it. We will work with anyone and everyone, Republican or Democrat, because public safety isn’t political. If our communities aren’t safe, nothing else matters.

Keeping our communities safe must be a multipronged effort, because drugs do not always come from the street. That’s why I was thrilled to speak at today’s 4th Annual Drug Diversion in Healthcare Conference. We understand that sometimes, the bad actors are trusted professionals who prioritize their own greed, or are lost in addiction themselves. These conferences help education professionals how we can better spot mishandlings in the industry, and continue to fight for the people who need support while in recovery.

The voices of victims have been at the forefront of my concern as we consider how to address the Court’s ruling on felony murder.  Thank you @SenLisaBaker for giving the victims a voice in this process.

Attorney General Sunday joined @SenatorMartinPA and @SenatorKristin in Lancaster today, along with District Attorney Heather Adams, to emphasize the need for immediate legislative action in resentencing second-degree murderers. If we want to keep communities safe, we need action now.

Happy National Pennsylvania Day! This Commonwealth gave America its independence and has continued to shape our nation ever since. Today I’m thinking about the people who have carried that legacy forward over the years, especially the incredible law enforcement officers and military members, past and present, who have served and protected our communities. Proud to call Pennsylvania home and work to keep it safe each and every day.

AI and new technology can open the door to incredible opportunities for Pennsylvania. But new tech brings new risks, and our most vulnerable are often the first targets by bad actors. I’m advocating for responsible guardrails that let innovation thrive while protecting seniors, kids, and families.

Last year alone, my office and our law enforcement partners took 56 million doses of fentanyl off Pennsylvania streets. That’s not just a number. That’s thousands of lives saved because we work as one team, across every county, every day. Pennsylvanians deserve nothing less. @ErieNewsNow
