My daughter Katie paid the ultimate price of these reckless policies. Illinois hands out driver’s licenses to anyone and calls it “safety.” New-speak. My daughter’s killer couldn’t read or communicate, yet had a DL number. @GovPritzker demands accountability from everyone except himself. “Accountability Commission”? A complete misdirection. Illinois needs one for him and his administration. Alexi Giannoulias just follows orders. Not a leader. @GovPritzker say her name.

You CANNOT make this up. Regular American @em72479 calls the Illinois DMV… and they casually admit they’re STILL letting non-English speakers take their CDL exams in Spanish — with interpreters (even family members) for the actual road skills test. Meanwhile, we’ve got fresh headlines of CDL drivers plowing through road signs they can’t read, killing innocent people in Florida and elsewhere. USDOT just pointed to multiple fatal crashes caused by exactly this: truckers who don’t speak or read English. 5,500+ drivers have already lost privileges for failing basic English checks. People are dying because the system refuses to enforce common sense. This video isn’t just a gotcha. It’s proof that everyday Americans providing tips — recording the call, dropping the receipts — is how we actually fix things. Remember my interview exposing how the ICE tip line isn’t even monitored properly? Same story here. Citizens are handing the government gold-plated evidence on a platter… and the bureaucracy is too busy being “inclusive” to care. If we actually listened to tips like this one, we’d save lives tomorrow. Illinois: English is the language of our roads. Period. No more excuses. Watch the video. Share it. Demand they stop. The American people are doing the job the government won’t. Bam. #EnglishFirst #SafeRoads #CitizenPower

@GOPNorthfield Pretty safe argument that Republicans who nominated Bailey aren't serious about winning.

With the Cook County Republican Convention convening tonight, I want to address the mass email sent this morning by New Trier Township Committeewoman Julie Cho. Reasonable people can disagree about the leadership, direction, and future of the Cook County Republican Party. We should air these disagreements honestly. However, what Julie sent today went well beyond honest disagreement. Her letter was an attempt to divide Republicans, assign sinister motives to anyone who may vote differently, and threaten public retaliation against committeemen for exercising their judgment in an internal party election. That is wrong. It is especially troubling that the email also attacked Aaron Del Mar, who is now our party’s nominee for Lieutenant Governor. Republicans should not be undermining our own statewide ticket, and certainly not in the course of an internal party fight, and definitely not publicly on the day of the county convention. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated episode. It reflects a broader pattern of conduct that has too often worked against Republican nominees and Republican interests rather than for them. At some point, we have to decide whether we are serious about building an effective party or whether we are content to let internal grudges, public accusations, and performative outrage continue to weaken us from within. No committeeman should be pressured or threatened for how he or she votes, particularly by people who are not voters in his or her township or ward. No one should be told that an independent vote is proof of corruption or disloyalty. And no party can grow if every disagreement is turned into a public spectacle. Cook County Republicans have suffered enough losses over the years. We do not need more internal destruction. We need discipline, maturity, stronger organization, better candidate recruitment, and a renewed focus on supporting Republican nominees and advancing Republican principles. Whoever the next chairman is, the responsibility to improve falls on all of us as committeemen, and success will require cohesive work from our volunteers. While some of the facts and figures Julie cites are wrong, I think we all agree that our performance countywide, particularly in terms of turnout and fundraising, must improve should we hope to become competitive again statewide. Whatever your position in today’s chairman’s race, we should all be able to agree on this: our party will not be strengthened by attacking fellow Republicans, smearing our nominees, or threatening to expose those who refuse to submit to factional demands. I remain committed to building a stronger Republican organization in Cook County: one focused on winning elections, supporting our candidates, and conducting itself in a manner worthy of the voters we ask to trust us.

.@GovPritzker, I saw your post honoring lives lost in Minnesota—standing publicly, naming Alex Pretti and Renee Good, and laying flowers in their memory. But where was that same compassion on January 19, 2025? That is the day my 20-year-old daughter, Katie Abraham, was killed here in Illinois. She was innocent. She did not knowingly put herself in the middle of an ongoing law enforcement situation. She was not making a dangerous choice. She was simply living her life—and it was taken from her. You have never said her name. You have never come to where she died. You have never acknowledged her publicly. And beyond that—you have never even responded to me. I sent you a simple, non-political letter. Not for attention. Not for headlines. Just a father asking for clarity, for answers, and for understanding of the state’s position. You never replied. And now, in the wake of another tragedy here in Chicago, your public display of compassion elsewhere—while remaining silent about victims in your own state—feels deeply disconnected from the reality families like mine are living every day. Instead, you continue to defend sanctuary policies that create the conditions where preventable tragedies like hers can happen. This is not about politics. It’s about leadership and accountability. When you choose to publicly mourn some victims while remaining silent about others—especially those lost under policies you support—it sends a message. Whether intentional or not, it tells families like mine that our loss does not matter the same way. So I am asking you directly: Where is your compassion for my daughter? Where is your acknowledgment of victims here in Illinois? And when will you take responsibility for the consequences of the policies you defend? Say her name: Katie Abraham. Stand where she died. Show the people of Illinois that every life matters.
Governor JB Pritzker@GovPritzker

Standing with Minnesotans tonight and paying my respects to Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

I was very proud of some of Northfield Township's rising stars who organized and moderated the last Gubernatorial debate tonight at the Hilton Northbrook. GBN students Matt Riccardi and Aidan Murphy were moderators and alumnus Peter Christos helped organize. Lots of high school and college age Republicans were there. Who won? @TedForIllinois, but all 3 get points for being there. @DarrenBaileyIL, you missed out on a great event.
