Aliko Dangote initially faced several business failures. His telecommunication company and textile business both failed, and Dangote Airlines collapsed a few months after launch. A tomato sauce factory he started also closed within months. He then launched Dangote Millers but struggled to maintain it, eventually selling it to a South African company for $200 million, only to buy it back later at half the price. Dangote’s breakthrough came with Dangote Cement, followed by successful ventures in sugar and oil refining. His journey shows that failure is part of the learning process on the path to success.
