In the speech from the Throne, Ford called public healthcare a “defunct ideology.” The speech admitted what we all know: the economic threats from the U.S. are real. And yes—we do need to retool and rebuild. But their plan? The same old playbook: cuts, sell-offs and corporate giveaways. They are funnelling public health dollars to private clinics. They’ve gut school funding—$1,500 less per student since they took office—while blaming school boards. And they’re spending $2.2 Billion tax dollars while handing over Ontario Place to U.S. and Austrian corporations—for 95 years. If we want to stand up to global threats, we need to strengthen public services and invest in each other—not sell the province to the highest bidder. #ONpoli
