@franklyunaware I keep this small yoga pad in my bag. Seriously, five mins of stretching before and after play makes a world of difference.

Please stretch. Honestly it takes less than 5 minutes and you will literally prevent 90% of injuries this way. Not to mention it makes you a better pickleball player. Your mobility increases, your reaction time, footwork, all of it improves simply by stretching just a little bit each day. You aren’t missing out on anything by doing it, but you might miss out on everything if you don’t. Maybe a bit dramatic at the end there but you get the point. Just stretch for my sake and yours.

@ChadGriffiths I agree. This reminds me of the public skatepark boom, which started the private pay-to-skate facilities. As more public parks opened, the paid ones disappeared one by one, with only a few good ones left. Over time, the market always corrects itself.

In the 1980's racquetball was hugely popular. Tons of private clubs set up shop across retail and industrial properties all over the world. Today there aren't any private racquetball clubs (although still plenty of options to play in gyms, YMCA, etc). The same thing will happen with pickleball.
