Please raise side fenders when cruising and especially in locks! Not only could you get hung up/wedged in a lock but the fenders that come off frequently foul gates and paddles putting the lock out of action and inconveniencing you and other boaters. Thank you.

Please don't use locks with side fenders down. Apart from the risk of getting your boat stuck or hung up, fenders that come off foul lock gates. Our team removed many fenders from bottom gate recesses this past weekend following complaints about gates not opening fully.

@tonywatkin @CRTBoating It could indeed be Dolgoch stern just in the left of the picture, she had a slightly narrower stern name panel than some of the other boats in the fleet at Trevor.

@CRTBoating Yes, the Anglo Welsh base at Trevor - from where I took my first canal cruising holiday 40 years ago! I recognise the 'Pullman' livery from that time but the boat I hired was called 'Dolgoch' - I wonder whether it is still around?
