You completely throw away any form of credibility for having knowledge about football when you start speaking for other fans about the ongoings at their club. You have no right, no idea. When you lot were starting to murmur about sacking Howe do you not think we were slightly shocked? But we don’t comment because it’s not our club and you know better. If Newcastle were going 1 for 15 and their manager started speaking about ‘staying humble’, as well as blasting the club as an institution at every given moment, you’d be fuming as well. There’s two paths to take in football media. You either tread the line and consider that you might not know everything, and allow yourself to at least learn before you open your gob, or you choose to be a rage baiting muppet. Evidently Josh chooses option two.

I said it the other day and I’ll say it again now, Oliver Glasner changed Palace fans’ lives forever with the FA Cup win and because of that, I and everyone else in our fan-base will always be grateful. If he had signed a 3-4 year contract and categorically said he wanted to be our manager, I would be saying that this spell of 1 win in 15 should be ridden out by the club because of what he’s done for us but when the man himself decided 4 months ago that he wasn’t renewing and said weeks ago publicly that his mind wouldn’t be changed, it became an untenable situation. If he wants to continue in the role and be paid for it until the deal expires, he doesn’t have to aim digs at the fans and the club’s history along the way. If he feels the job isn’t one he can do well, he should have the good grace to move on before the contract is up. We may not be a “big” club, that doesn’t mean we have to be gaslit by the man in charge of the team every time he sits in front of the press, the fans are rightly sick of watching him lobbing figurative grenades into a room and shutting the door. If you’re in a marriage that’s no longer working, you can leave, no one is forcing him to stay.
