I'm all up for extra revision sessions if staff want a bit of extra dollar but they should be 100% optional for students in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't give punishments for students who don't go to school on Saturday.

🚨 A letter to Year 11 families at Michaela Community School states that children who do not attend weekend and holiday revision sessions will “spend time in Referral” They must also attend in full school uniform

Hi @tombennett71 . Looking forward to your new book Running the School. I've got a copy pre-ordered. I'm attending a meeting about whole culture and behaviour Wednesday and want to go in prepared. Can you point me to any materials I can access now? I've got your first book!

@Mr_Raichura I would love to know what brand of standing desk converter (if you know) you use in the Step lab documentary. Would you mind sharing?

So not only is this show filmed in the same place as the movies and has near identical costumes to the movies but it’s also reusing cast members from the movies? Genuinely what’s the point of this?

@Counsell_C So good! Already reflecting on how we can remove individual lesson questions and put more trust in the overarching enquiry question. Small change but huge impact.

This was an excellent free webinar. Really helpful to teachers and leaders wondering how to ensure lessons integrate rich extended text rather than bolting it on. You can still sign up to receive it. #ChangingHistoriesKS3

Our most recent webinar on planning and teaching a lesson sequence using an enquiry question from @catherinepriggs and @EG_Carr is now available to view! It really is brilliant so don't miss out (we're not just saying so because we're biased). Watch now: bit.ly/3IrHDTH

@MartinSLewis 60% of our wages goes in to a joint account each month as I earn more and splitting bills 50:50 wasn't fair.
English

@implausibleblog Like becoming Prime Minister without winning a general election?

@richkbristol I did 8 weeks leave at the start of the academic year. It was a tough return but the time I had with my daughter was utterly magical. Life long gain in those weeks.

@missrogers1793 Strong centralised resources reducing burden on planning, strong centralised behaviour systems, feedback policy shaped by 'No More Marking', leadership that notices the small things and provides bespoke support for staff that need it.

@DrFrancisYoung Do many rich details. I'm looking forward to writing my pilgrims journey to the shrine. Thank you for sharing

@GWSHAW1 This is from p. 182 of my book on the Abbey. There's no one description, so this is cobbled together from details taken from Jocelin's Chronicle, the account of the 1465 fire, and the reports of the commissioners in 1536

English

@DrFrancisYoung I'm planning some lessons on Medieval BSE and would love to source a detailed description of the shrine of St Edmund. Any ideas where I might find one?
