BC Attorney General Niki Sharma now speaking in support of BC’s Human Rights Code and Tribunal. Conservative members said they voted in support of a bill that would eliminate the code because of ‘procedure’. Now they will have a chance to show their support for human rights.

This morning I wrote to 17 Pride groups to say we’ll proceed with their request for a motion to support the Human Rights Code. Every MLA who supports the Code should vote to defend it. We need to stand up for human rights, not give ground to those who would take them away.
