For far too long, we’ve watched our wages stay stagnant while the cost of living climbs and the strength of our dollar falls. We work longer hours, take fewer days off, and see no real progress. Meanwhile, companies are raking in record profits, and Albertans are drowning in debt. Something is fundamentally broken — and we cannot afford to stay silent any longer.
1 in every 6 Albertans is a tradesperson — roughly 17–20 % of our population. These are the people who build, maintain, and power our province. Yet time and again, our voices are ignored while policies are made that benefit corporations, not the workers who keep Alberta running.
When will we finally take responsibility for our economic future? When will we stop letting certain companies line their pockets off the backs of hard-working Albertans? Enough is enough.
We have the skills. We have the labor. We have the backbone of this province. It is time we demand a seat at the table. It is time we shape the policies that impact our work, our families, and our communities.
We are not just workers. We are Albertans. And Albertans will no longer be sidelined. The power to change Alberta’s future is in our hands — if we choose to take it.
