Rachel Reeves has been the Labour MP for Leeds West and Pudsey since 2010 and is currently Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Rachel has been a source of controversy and speculation in recent years regarding her claims and conduct. She was found to have rented her London home without a licence, to have inconsistencies on her CV regarding her banking career, and to have allegedly misled the public over financial issues.
Rachel is a member, officer and former vice chair in the lobby organisation Labour Friends of Israel. She was the ‘keynote speaker’ at LFI’s 2025 end of year luncheon at London’s Park Plaza Hotel.
Rachel was very much involved in the plots, coups and leadership bids that aimed to remove Jeremy Corbyn as leader of The Labour Party.
Rachel has received the following donations and perks:

Darling @RachelReevesMP,
Bless your desperately virtuous little heart.
How absolutely heart-warming.
Today you’re “lifting 450,000 children out of poverty” by scrapping the two-child benefit limit.
Change promised. Change delivered.
How very progressive.
How very Labour.
You’re not lifting children out of poverty, sweetheart.
You’re taking money from hard-working British taxpayers and handing it straight to the imported third-world filth who keep pumping out babies they can’t afford… all while British families are being crushed by your taxes.
You’re not reducing child poverty.
You’re rewarding the very people who treat the welfare system like a breeding fund.
Welfare spending has now overtaken income tax revenue for the first time in history… and you’re celebrating it.
How fucking embarrassing.
So go on then, Rachel.
Keep giving British money to the imported masses while our own people tighten their belts.
The mask is off.
You’re not a Chancellor.
You’re a glorified benefits manager for people who never contributed a penny to this country.
Start working on your exit plan from the UK, darling.
Because when the British people finally snap, there won’t be a safe space left for people like you.
Britain First. No Surrender. 🦁🇬🇧

Rachel Reeves@RachelReevesMP
Today we are lifting 450,000 children out of poverty with the end of the two-child limit. This Labour Government is achieving the biggest reduction in child poverty over a Parliament since records began. Change promised. Change delivered.

The most honest summary of Labour’s Britain:
Go to work. Pay more tax.
Watch your council tax go up. Watch your energy bill go up.
Then watch the Government take that money and hand £6,000 a year to a family where nobody works.
This is what happened today.
Rachel Reeves froze income tax thresholds — a stealth tax dragging millions into higher bands, costing basic rate taxpayers up to £700 extra this year alone.
Council tax rises land Monday. Energy bill increases land Monday.
And on Monday, 186,000 workless households get a £6,000 annual boost — funded directly by those tax hikes.
Labour calls it “lifting children out of poverty.”
What it actually is: a £3.5 billion transfer from working families to non-working households, paid for by Starmer collapsing under backbench pressure.
If you’re wondering why you feel poorer under Labour — this is why.

@kingkapoor72 @UKLabour Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities have the highest shares of families with 3+ children (41% and 38% vs 14% for White British, per Children's Commissioner data). Black African groups follow closely. They'll see the biggest proportional gains in benefits and poverty reduction.

Let’s see who agrees with me on drilling in the North Sea:
Rachel Reeves ✅
The GMB Union ✅
RenewableUK ✅
Tony Blair ✅
Octopus Energy ✅
Great British Energy ✅
But not the Energy Secretary Ed Miliband ❌
Keir Starmer…?
I sense a U-turn (unless Ed Miliband is really running the govt!)
Andrew Pierce@toryboypierce
Now chancellor @RachelReevesMP agrees drilling in North Sea would generate tax revenue. So sack @Ed_Miliband the Cabinet eco fanatic & get on with it
