Some news: I’m heading to @propublica, in a new role as chief product and brand officer. I’ve had an incredible 14-year adventure @nytimes and am excited to start a new chapter at a place with an equally vital mission.

It’s entirely possible to be a parent and have a solid/great career but it’s VERY difficult to do ambitious work while parenting little kids. Even with loads of childcare.

A few quick notes about @SND’s creative conference, which is only a week away at The New School (nyc.snd.org). I’ve spent the last few months organizing this contraption and think it’s going to be fun and unique for news nerds of all stripes.
